I am getting married this summer to a muslim and although I am christian and do not intend to change my religion I would like to know more about his on my own. I've found books on the subject but they are written either by christians or ex-muslims and I want an unbiased viewpoint.

Jeancomm... i was prepared to hear from someone condemning me for marrying outside my faith. The scripture you quote is given so that people of different faiths know of the difficulties they may face in their marriages because of the differences in religion. I follow the Bible as it was intended. I also prefer not to judge others on race, religion etc. and follow the saying "the heart chooses not whom it loves, it love who it loves".

For all of you who gave me websites to look at and gave me your good wishes and blessings---thank you. Its gonna be hard to choose a best answer.

A.J. Arberry's The Koran Interpreted is pretty good. N.J.Dawood's translation is also pretty good.
Ali's (mentioned above) is also good. It includes the Arabic and Ali himself is Muslim.

If you are Christian, the Lord says you are not to be linked to an unbeliever. A Muslim of the Islamic faith in Allah is an unbeliever.

Do not leave America to live with him in his country. If you do, you will be the most miserable woman living. Muslim women have no freedoms and you will not survive in this environment.
Freedom is more precious than any man alive. It is Christ who gives women freedom. Man puts women in bondage to him and his ways. The Quran is a man's religion held in the 6th and 7th centuries of Islam. If the man you want to marry is an American turned to the Islamic religion then this man has been deceived by the devil. If you are Christian, why do you ignore the Word of God?

2 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:
for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?
and what communion hath light with darkness?

Just be aware that if you have children they have to be Muslims. He wouldn´t give them the choice to be Christian.

God bless you.
