1. John 18:37
"You are a king, then!" said Pilate. Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."

“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves." -- Matthew 10:16

Jesus calls the Jews who did not believe in him "WOLVES" and the Jews who did believe in him as "SHEEP". The believers should become as wise, sneaky and deceiving as the generation of Serpents/vipers otherwise they will not survive the onslaught from the disbelieving Jews ?

John 18:37 KJV
Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered,

"Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born,
and for this cause came I into the world,
that I should bear witness unto the truth.
Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice."

Christ's end will be King of Kings and Lord of Lords because all power in heaven and in the earth has been given to Him of the Father. Jesus Christ will rule and reign on earth whether restored earth or New earth, Jesus Christ will be King. Jesus said, "I am the truth."

I think Jesus is telling the truth. Jesus was a king and He tells the truth.

See...when a simple "yes" would have worked I find it somewhat disingenuous that somebody put all those extra words in there. It's like some 5th grader plagiarizing a too-good report for homework. jmo.

Edit: Maybe Pilate should have said this:

You are a king, then y/n?
