I'm pregnant and plan to breast feed when my child is born. (This is my first pregnancy). Everyone has been telling me that breast feeding leds to saggy and deflated breats. Is this true? if so, is there anything i can do to hinder or reverse the results?

Go ahead and breastfeed if you can. That is not going to make any difference in your breasts. If they get too large during pregnancy, you will have a problem with them sagging with or without breastfeeding. Make sure you use proper fitting bras and try not to gain too much weight. Breasts are also made up of fatty tissue and if you gain too much during your pregnancy, this will also cause an increase in breast size that will stretch the skin too much.

You can wear a good supporting bra and it might help, but in my personal opinion, it's kinda hit or miss. I think alof of the problem with saggy breasts after pregnancy is the weight of your breasts when your milk comes in.

Mine were already saggy anyway before I got pregnant (I was an E cup and had a reduction in 1995-no lift), the only major thing I noticed after giving birth (pumped for almost 2 weeks and it didn't work out) was that I looked like a porn star once my milk came in, then once I dried up, the fullness dissappeared and they just seemed flat.

Might not be much you can do, but just get a really good bra. JC Penney's lingerie department will measure you and help you find a good bra and they're not too terribly expensive.

Good luck!

I can't see the other answers, so this may be addressed, but here goes...
I am excited to hear that you want breastfeed! Yes, sometimes your breasts will sag and deflate a bit. BUT they can also get bigger. And sagging happens anyway! Sorry. It's part of growing old. But the benefits of breastfeeding are so great. Image not taking your kid(s) to the doctors all the time with chronic asthma or other illnesses. When you're done, just take a trip to Victoria Secret and find a fabulous bra to make you feel great again!

Hi most people say that this happens if you breast feed but Im dont know as I havent had children yet. I dont know weather they get like this anyway just from the weight of the baby.
But I know Avon do a firm & sculpt bust contouring cream, its a treatment to help breast look and feel firmer. With a virtual bra technology that lifts and sculps. Some people say its really really good. I havent use it yet, but the other avon stuff for cellulite is marvelous, so this should be good.

Its £8 for a 150ml pot.

Well as from what other women have told me- yes it does make you sag. It's more so due to the weight of the breast changing and the hormones. So if anything wear a really good bra and try to not sit but lay down and breastfeed. You can lay on your back or on your side. It works just as well! Then after all of that make sure you have a bra fitting done then maybe you can get the lift done!

I am 21 and have a 4 year old. I didn't breast feed and mine are saggy. A few of my friends did and theirs are not bad. I tried using firming cream and everything but nothing worked. Maybe breast feeding is better because the milk has somewhere to go...I'm not sure though. I guess it depends on your body.

First off - tell them they are full of it. Breastfeeding has nothing to do with breast sag...being pregnant, the hormones, the rapid increase in bust size - thats what makes your breasts sag. The only thing that I could recommend is to make sure that you always have breast support, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. There are some creams out there that supposedly help firm and lift, but there isn't a lot that can be done besides plastic surgery.

It's true.....if you breastfeed, your breasts do tend to sag more. There is no way to reverse it or prevent it. But you have to think about your baby and what's best for your child than whether or not your breasts are not going to look so good. Your baby might not even be able to breastfeed. Some babies have a hard time latching on or just aren't interested in it.

There might be a slight change after breastfeeding, but there will be a change anyways after pregnancy.
There isn't anything you can do to prevent it though I am sorry to say, some breast naturally sag with time and age and pregnancy's and depending how large your breast are.
I wouldn't be too worried about it though, there should be only a slight change with your first pregnancy.

For most women, your vagina will go back to how it was, natural or with meds, doesn't make a difference. As for the boobs, I'm on my 3rd and they are starting to get the sag look so I'll probably be having that fixed here in the future. But the 1st time around they went back to where they were, they just went from a full B to a full C. But my friend went from a full C to a small B. It's really different for everyone.
