my question is, i want a lion, any one have idea + what should i look for in an artist and the ink, should it be vertical or horizontal. just give ideas but i has to be a lion.

Go to some tattoo shops and observe while they give others a tattoo...see how clean and steril the place is, and the person giving the tattoo...ask to see some of there work...because a good artist will always have pictures of there work...find out how long they have been tattooing, make sure they are licsensed...as far as the tattoo it's self ask the artist for there opinion

I think a lion would be good on your chest or like side ribs.. What you should do instead of deciding if you want it vertical or horizontal is look for a lion you like.. It's better to bring in ideas of lions you want then to just come in and say I want a lion. As for the artist. Ask around, recommendations from people that already have tattoos in your area is the best way to find tattoo parlors. I definately would never just go into a random tattoo parlor.. I've known too many people to get crappy tattoos that way. And make sure you get tattoo artist that are nice, cool, and make you comfortable. Because you're going to be spending a couple hours with them and they are marking your body for life.

well do you want it on your chest or below your chest? i'm thinking that it wouldn't look very good in both spaces. if it's on your chest it should be horizontal.
the only thing you should look for in an artist is talent. look at portfolios and see what artist will suit your style best. do you want a photorealistic lion or a more traditional one or a portrait style one? there are lots of aesthetic things to consider. the best thing you can do is find a good custom tattoo artist and bring them a picture of a lion that you like (not a picture of a tattoo of a lion) and let them create something from that for you.
