Canada prides itself on multiculturalism, tolerance and politeness, and this is true 99.99 percent of the time.
Large-city Canada is very cosmopolitan, very safe and very clean, and much more friendly than you'd expect a big city to be.
Rural Canada tends to be very white, but still very tolerant and polite. Even small-town diners may have a Chinese dish or two (Canada's third-largest population group).
Rural Quebec can be a hard palce to get by without knowing any French, but even a few basic words, especially phrases of politeness, go a long way.
Religion is not generally worn on the sleeve, so to speak, like it is in the US.

I have been to Canada twice. I am from Poland.
Its very fantastic country. Its open-minded for religions. I noticed there are many churches (of diffrent religions).. Most people work all week party every weekend.. Its very lively nation. I wish, I lived in Canada.

Think the United States. But colder with better beer.. generally more LIberal leaning.. and a third of the country is French Speaking.

Very open minded and free people, there are a lot of religions, but mainly protestants
Great people who speak either english or french (usually not both)

We are the most fun people in the world!
We are very multicultural, we love hockey, we like to say "eh?", We pay a lot of taxes, we have paid healthcare (mostly), and we are usually a very polite bunch...
Not to brag or anything.. :^)
