Mr. Blogbaba.

Racism is not my cup of tea. It seems rather you are a really racist. In my view if I find some one strong it doen't mean I am offending the other one. I simply wanted to know the reason. You made a mess with your stupid answer.

Has nothing to do with strength.
Blacks are generally quicker and have a better runner's build for the sport, while whites tend to be thicker and more flat-footed. That's a generality, by the way, not a rule.
Also, background is a big factor. Boxing is a city sport. Whites of means left the city in droves in America with the development of the highway system in the 50s, which created suburbia. Many blacks remain, where many have to be able to fight. Whites tend to be all-around athletes, and now tend to choose football and baseball over a sport with no head protection.
Many eastern Euros are poor, and they have done very well in the sport in the last 15 years since the Berlin Wall fell.
Race is actually not a big factor here for all it is discussed.

Race has nothing to do with it. In fact, 3 out of the 4 current heavyweight champions are white. 3 out of the 4 current light heavyweight champions are white. Yes, it's true that for the most part boxing is a sport dominated by Hispanics and Blacks but that doesn't mean they're stronger. Strength is not everything in boxing, skills, heart, stamina, I'd say weigh more.

Boxing has been a way out of poverty when no other way was visible. When I was boxing the gyms were dirty, stinky, rat holes in the worst part of town. Middle class people would not go there. It is a sport where most mothers do not want their children participating. The being stronger thought is incorrect, but percentage wise blacks dominate some sports, because strength is not the only reason for success in sports.

90 percent sounds a bit high but, no matter, your point is well taken that the majority (large majority) of the Heavier Boxers are African-American. Now, as to your question, Why? I'd think it was obvious, DIET.

GO CHUBBY, IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY, GO CHUBBY, GO CHUBBY!!!

Along those lines, I have to admit, statistically African-Americans make-up the larger percentage of impoverished people on thie planet. So, it would have to go without saying, that having to fight over your food, can instill an increase in hostility, ergo = better fighters. Class Dismissed.

Well right now,3 of the 4 major title holders are white, only 1 is black.

It's not really about what race they are,its where they are from.
All but 1 of the 4 major title holders are from east Europe and from the former Soviet Union.

It doesn't have to deal with white or black more or less , Urban and Suburban, Basketball, Football, Baseball,Boxing, Track are usually inner city sports while Suburban sports are, Golf and Driving, tennis, Figure Skating and Gymnastics. Most people that live in cities are black that's why you see more blacks in the inner city sport and Suburban consists mostly of whites that why you see white in Suburban sports

Tommy Burns could have misplaced to "massive" bill Tate, Sam Langford, or Peter Jackson. . . . .palms down. the issue is, in basic terms Jack Johnson became ever given the prospect to win the international heavyweight identify. So the respond on your question is, of direction, Jack Johnson. greater importantly, however, is that concern stored countless the superb combatants of ANY age from getting identify pictures. fortunately, the worldwide Boxing corridor of popularity looks previous racial subject concerns of the day, and has Jackson and Langford as contributors of the corridor, even however they in no way held the international identify.

Gerry S pretty much covered it. The reason you see alot of minorites as appose to whites is because of where they grew up. Good boxers usually come out of bad neighborhoods or rough conditions. Its just the way it is because thats what usually turns someone into a fighter. Suburban white kids from rich families usually aren't attracted to the fight game. Thats just the way it is...

I can guess you might have posted your question to get a good intelligent answer in boxing, but I think your question is more of a stereotype. Let me hip you to the sport of sweet science, it does not matter what race you are is about how you train for this sport and how your mentality is when you step in the ring. The Klitschko brothers have excellent KO ratios, Tommy Morrison has a nice KO ratio, and previous boxers like Max Baer, Jerry Quarry, and Gerry Cooney had excellent KO ratio and were former champions. So before you ask question in this area please think before your ignorance gets you an answer you do not like.
