Help! Im fat!!
I need to lose about 40 lbs total. I weigh 150 now. I know I wont lose it all in 7 wks but I would like to lose as much as possible while staying healthy. I know to excersice. I know to stay around 1200 calories a day eating about 4 small meals and drink lots of water, no soda. (sometimes easier said than done, though) Is there anything else I can do besides medication or Adtkins? Does the apple cider vinegar really work? What about the flaxseed or lemon juice or cranberry juice or juice fasting????
any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

ok, first of all, FORGET about all those drink fasting things. you'll gain the weight back just as quick as u lost it. my aunt would always do that and she was like fat every other month. to lose weight, a healthy diet alone won't do much. u have to EXERCISE! run/light jog for half an hour, take your ipod with you, you'll forget you're running. do about 200 sit ups, it'll help tone your abs, but sit ups alone won't make u lose weight around your belly area. if u don't want to go out running, then swim like 25 laps without stopping too much at each end. a cardio activity is very important when trying to lose weight. also, watch what u eat. don't starve yourself, but make sure you get 5-6 small meals a day, it keeps your metabolism going. no snacking in between! exercise at least 4 times a week and you'll be losing weight in no time. i do this almost everday and it keeps me in good shape. i know the hardest part is getting started, but after that you'll start losing weight and love the way u look, and you'll want to put on your running shoes at get out there. like me this morning, i had to go to church and didn't have time to go for my usual morning run, and i felt bad cuz i really wanted to go. i never thought i'd WANT to go running. anyway, my point is, once u get started everything will be much easier.

I don't think that it's possible to healthily lose that much weight in such a short amount of time. If you fasted for the whole 7 weeks (please don't though), you would lose about 1 lbs a day. and 7 weeks is 49 days, so you would lose about 40ish pounds (subtracting the 9 because your weight will probably plateau). if you lose weight that fast, it will be seriously HARD to keep it off, and you'll become really depressed after gaining most if not all of the weight back. Sweetie, just stick to the 1200 calorie diet thing, and don't try to force yourself to lose so much weight. It may seem like such a good plan to you right now, but trust me. Losing that much weight so fast isn't worth it in the end. It is stressful and depressing. You only have one life, and if you want to lose weight, you might as well do it happily. =]

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

well 1st le me jus tell u that the whole apple cider lemon whatever doesnt work. Just cut sodas and unhealthy junk foods out of ur diet. Drink lots of water and try to do 30-45 minutes of cardio a day. Also eats lots of veggies, and lastly stay healthy because unhealthy dieting weightloss does nothing but pack back on eventually.

Don't worry about all of those potions and concoctions like lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, etc. They're all just fad scams. You already know that diet and exercise are what's important, so focus on that! :D
