Well, I was thinking if I were to write a book, and not put my name on it, and put it in a biblical format (books, letters, "gospels"), and wrote it in a similar format, and had it priced cheaper than the Bible... maybe it could get widespread.

And then I could have made up rules in there along with creation stories. Perhaps my own arsenal of celestial beings and noteworthy people. (don't worry, I have some sense, the rules wouldn't be stupid or wrong in anyway)

I won't use last names, either.

Do you think if I gave it enough time, it'd be thought of as a Bible and be followed like a religion?

Absolutely not, it wont be sharper than any 2 edged sword- there wont be God's power working in it to accomplish all that God wants it to....just a book...

Maybe. However, have you considered that the Bible is not a book, but a collection of 66 books? Have you considered it's letters were authored by One God, written by over 39 people, and are in total harmonzation and agreeing even though it was written over hundreds of years?

I think your book would fall far short of anything God does.

I like your idea of writing a book in "Bible" format....it actually would probably sell better if it were some mystery book and not trying to be "followed like a religion". I say go for it....

All non secular books have been written via adult men, and extremely virtually all of them have been written via communities of adult men. so which you're possibly good to doubt that one guy would desire to write certainly one of those e book, simply by fact in maximum circumstances -- the Bible specifically -- one guy did no longer. What their motivation for doing it replaced into is yet another rely completely.

You may well use the knowledge God has given to you for other better things rather than making a mockery of the Holy Bible. God is not a man you can mock. You may have read the story of Nebuchadnezzar.

i think you need therapy. serious therapy.
channel your energy into something useful and helpful.
To many divisions and religions as it is and every on fighting about who is right !
human beings killing each other in the name of God.
That is not what God is about.
It is love. Brothers and sisters can disagree agreeable and still be family.
I believe in God and am a christian. The Holy Bible is a awsome book .
dont think you can improve on it!lol

Yes... but price doesn't matter. It just has to be very well written, at least as complete as the Bible, and marketed extremely well. Third party documents referring to it, etc. would help a great deal as well.

Religious scriptures are meant as guides to life. Some people need to live by rules, rules that aren't forced on them, but rules they can choose to internalize.

I dont follow the bible, as it was probably created by an egotistical person like yourself as well, ohhh lets make rules, lets create theories and pass then as divine laws and then everyone would follow them and believe this is the way things should be...

Meh, people like you make me sick... why do you want to propose a new religion or set of laws, so you can feel godly?

I for one, would never follow some egocentric individual like yourself, true missionaries dont try to make a pretty penny out of faithless people who would believe anything to feel better about themselves... you are a sick individual, get some help.

I'm on page 327 of my book - The Dividing of Time - A Book written by Luke. Writting is one of my hobbies. I started it shortly after Sept 11th so have been at it for a while.
