Good point! I know this isn't the pat answer but there are fewer real Christians that you or they think. It's a sad situation when those that have been given the keys to the kingdom of God do nothing. You can't tell the difference between alot of Christan's, hypocrites, and unbelievers today. When real persecution and judgment comes to America you will be able to tell the sheep from the goats- til then you need to deliver yourself from this generation and believe the gospel and no man or religion that is not taking the Kingdom of God serious! If they can't stay in the word and worship with their whole heart run away!

Because we are suppose to be the examples and if you were abused as a child like I was, your past has a way of effecting your future, and makingyou not look like a christian. A person who was hurt will hurt people and then the nonchristians will say that I, the christian, am a judgemental, mean wreck of a saved person. I can't have that, I am suppose to lead by example and show them that I am growing and becoming more like Jesus everyday, besides sometimes when I go thru a prayer line, I may or may not get healed. I don't like drugs either or the side effects thats why I chose www.theophostics.com. Its the quickest way to get healed and deal with the pain and not have to use drugs or ever have to deal with the pain again by using the holy ghost to heal my past.

We all aren't in a hurry to get back to heaven because there are things we need to accomplish here on Earth. It's the old "snowball" theory, our small acts of kindness here, snowball and can influence other people's lives around us in enormous ways. A small act of kindness could be what keeps a person from becoming a criminal, or loving someone the difference between them being healthy/well adjusted individuals or being disturbed.
When you start to see life less selfishly, and that it's not all about you, you will see why your here. It's not for your benefit, it's for others.

It is wrong for a christian not to take care of his health. Jesus mandates that our body is his temple and whoever destroy it destroys him. Christians ought to be stewards of every good thing that God has given them. If your premise is followed, such omission tantamounts to irresponsibility and neglect which is an indirect way of destroying God's temple. Life here on earth is also a gift by God and it must also be lived according to his ways for a testimony of God's grace and goodness. Jesus had the same question when the devil took him on the highest point of the temple and said "why don't you jump? Did not God say that he will command his angels concerning you that you may not strike your foot against a stone?" Jesus answered "It is also written, do not test the Lord your God". Yes, there is a better life than now but the only way to be able to go there is to do his commands here on this life. And one of his commands is that we must take care of our body.

Many Christians reject scientific facts and theories because the bible says otherwise. But when science becomes handy (Cars, computers, medical care) they praise it. And I think they seek medical care because they're humans, and I'm sure they don't like death, even if there will be a reward. I mean they don't wanna lose their loved ones.

Christians love life per se whether it is here or in eternity.
It seems you think Christians try to stay here just because and that is alright too, but it is LIFE itself that we want and have.

According to Christian teaching, Jesus healed the sick. He did not treat his time on earth as a waste. Christians who follow his example see nothing wrong with bringing comfort to people in this life. It is only one narrow view that insists that the "other world" is everything and this world is nothing.

First off, sickness doesn't come from God. He doesn't make ppl ill. Secondly, we all have an appointed time by God when we are to be with Him. I would love to be with Him at the drop of a hat, but you are only seeing time, we see eternity.

This is a valid question. Another valid question is whether the holier-than-thous who despise science have the faith to refuse to take advantage of advancements in science, such as take medicine or have medical procedures performed, or such as drive cars.

Because if I don't, I'm going to be totally irresponsible of the body that God has given me and of my children's well-being. When it comes to children especially, you can't make the mistake of leaving them to suffer and eventually die when there was something you could do for them. I thank God for antibiotics everytime my child is with a strep throat and high fever. Thnk God for scientists and for doctors who used their brains to make our lives easier. In the end it's all God-given, isn't it.
