Palestine never had any land because it was never established as a country. Through all its years of existence, Palestine was a perpetual colony--ruled first by the Ottoman empire and then the British and finally the UN. So to give the land back would be to give it to the Ottoman Empire, NOT the Palestinians.

Secondly, if Israel were to give the land back to the so called "indigenous peoples" it would be to give the land back to the Jews anyways.

The Jews ruled the land from 1350 B.C.E. to 586 B.C.E. when the Babylonians came. The Maccabean Revolt was 168 B.C.E. to 143 B.C.E. which gave the Jews (Hasmoneans) control again from 143 B.C.E. until 70 C.E. when the Romans took over. And this isn't even Biblical--this is just historically. Ottoman rule 1516 to 1917
British Mandate 1917 to 1948
And finally, the British mandate gave control to the Jews.

Israel, being the only nation in the world conceived through legalities and law, is the only immaculately conceived nation in the world--so, if every country in the world were forced to give the land back to indigenous peoples, Israel would 1. be giving land back to themselves and 2. wouldn't have to because they were the only nation in the world who did not get land by conquest.

Finally, Israel does live in a democracy. Here I will direct you to a link explaining Israeli government, of which I have taken a few excerpts for easy reading here:

"In the State of Israel, which was founded on May 14, 1948, as in other democratic states, the democratic rule is rooted in the following principles and institutions: basic laws which lay down the order of government and of the citizens' rights; the holding of elections to the house of representatives and to municipal councils every few years, following which, a central government and local authorities are set up, based on the principle of the rule of the majority, with the rights of the minority guaranteed by law; the principle of the separation between the legislative branch, the executive branch, and the judiciary, to which the institution of state control has been added; freedom of the press.

The Electoral System

The elections in Israel are general, equal and secret. On the national level they are held at least once every four years, and on the municipal level at least once every five years. Israel has a system of proportional representation, and the whole state is considered a single constituency. Every party running for election presents a list of candidates, and the number of candidates entering the house of representatives is proportional to the percentage of support the list receives. Every citizen over the age of 18, whose name appears in the list of voters, may vote.

THE LEGISLATIVE BRANCH: THE KNESSET

The Knesset is the house of representatives of the State of Israel. The Basic Law: The Knesset, states that the seat of the Knesset is Jerusalem, and that upon election it will have 120 members."

How can an occupying force of an invading nation give back the land it stole and still exist? Can The English give the USA back to the natives?
No, it will never happen. Israel can exist or Palestine can exist. And USA is backing Israeli Jews

And you have heard now also from the American Zionists who want to raise Jesus from the dead by making human sacrifices in the middle east.
You have a president who believes the same stuff that Mainworry and Sawyer do.

Israel should give the land back but no not be one country. The Allies of WW2 decided to make Israel a country without thinking about the consequences of such actions. Palestine should be its own country no ifs ands or buts about it and given the same opportunities that they have given Israel. Israel is now the occupier, murder and destructers of people they dislike, just like the Nazis were towards Jews. It is a vicious cycle but one that can be fixed with more communication that they have now and more compromising.

For people to say destroy the middle east or Muslims is so inhumane and you are just as evil as Hitler was. WE as people are the same we all want the same in life, money, food, education, our families safe. Those who wish the destruction of certain people better pray that those wishes dont come back towards them.

Remember as you hate people they hate you and no government can ever keep you safe. Pray and strive for peace and we will have it. Focus on hate and violence (which i see every day happening) and that is what you get.

It is your choice.....

Peace in Palestine is fundamental to Middle East peace as a whole. However, Israel, for better or worse, is an established nation. The likelihood of peace ever coming to these two peoples is, in my view, never going to happen.

Israel should go back to the 1967 borders. As it is 55% of Palestine was given to 35% of people. Yet Israel continues to take more and more land.
Everytime Israel attack Palestine they say they are protecting themselves. Yet Palestine attacks Israel they are terrorist? Wrong, Palestinians are also protecting themselves from Israeli's whom are constantly bulldozing homes in Palestine and taking land to build settlements....
I say:
1. go back to the 1967 borders
2. give the right to return

neither the Israelis or the Palestinians want a Bi-national solution.

Several polls have demonstrated that quite clearly.

As for a two state solution they are trying that, but its kind of hard to negotiate with Hammas...

It must first be understood that the word Palestine was a play on the word Phillistia. The land of the Philistines which corresponds to the Gaza Strip to-day.
The Palestinian people have no rights, at all, to the land of Israel or any part of it.

If every and I mean "EVERY" other country or state throughout the entire world gives it's lands back to the so-called native or
original, indigenous peoples then just maybe Israel should do
that, too. However, most of those people don't exist as a people
anymore.

Israel and Palestine as one nation is mental masturbation.

It could never happen. So why discuss it?

Yes, they should. Even some anti-zionist Jews say so:

However, Palestines should be able to chose what kind of a state they want to be, either democratic, islamic or whatever suits them best.
