I think you're right. Anger is contagious and spreads a lot quicker then kindness and common courtesy seems to be endangered at times as well. For example, when you step on to an elevator with one other person, is it so wrong to respond when someone says hello or good morning? Kind of rude. Instead of passing kindness, the person who was ignored will be upset for the rejection of kindness, and will most likely pass on a bit of hostility and snap at the first person to say good morning to them.

Hello.
I have several answers. ...Jimmy Rogers
and Jane Russell both have to be at
work at 9 a.m.
Now, instead of leaving at 8 a.m. to get to
their jobs across the city, they don't leave
unti 8:30 a.m. or even later. Possible
reasons: Jimmy and Jane are disorganized.
Or Jimmy and Jane get into a debate with
somebody, Anybody, about something that
just can't wait.
Now Jimmy and Jane are about as bullheaded
as any bulldog, and are aggressive, self-involved,
obsessive/compulsive. Any of those, or all
three. Because they can't or won't ever relax,
they react constantly to everything around them.
Road rage goes on even in smaller towns.
When people get into their cars, a lot undergo
changes. Some play loud music, or loud
anything. About 3 years ago I quit listening
to anything in my car. Think the morning talk
show hosts like that idea? I'm too busy
trying not to get in an accident. I don't
wanna get hit so I can get insurance money.
I like my insurance rate. It's real good.
If you don't mind a suggestion, like some
people, leave very early to go to work. Then
others will go drink decaf for an hour or two
in a restaurant or coffee shop for two hours
until the traffic dies down after work.
If it ever dies down.
No, don't join them. Pretend, maybe, they are
all Homer or Bart or Marge, and you are a
person caught in a bizzare cartoon that doesn't
end until you get home. Then, hopefully, you
can go inside, shut the door, and leave
Stupidworld outside. Lock it.
Don't unthink. Think about something
happy to look forward to. GL.

I totally agree.
My very first question on here was sort of the same as this one. I find for the most part people have no manners-you know the simple stuff like please and thank you. That tends to add to stuff like anger (everyone feels they're owed SOMETHING)
I don't join them, at all. I have kids and I still teach them to be kind and have manners. But I can see how it would/could effect others who already feel "beaten down" by life.

Political Correctness is the culprit - people need to quit being so damned sensitive and realize that other people have different viewpoints and beliefs

The Bible says, "the heathen rage."
Psalm 2
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His Anointed, saying,
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
He tht sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
DOWN TO VERSE 11
Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you persih form the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.
IN GOD WE TRUST
