1. Love and treat others fairly
2. Find something good in everything
3. Be optimistic
4. Do something good for someone everyday...you'll feel good for doing it.

In a religious aspect the meaning of life is to know God, to love God and to serve God.
However I recently gave a talk where I was barred from mentioning God within the speech. I spoke about our meaning in life about being love. We must care for those around us because in all reality they will be at our death bed, someone else will have to take care of us and love us. Our meaning then is to learn how to love, and to be loved. When we are born, we cry and others around us are happy and glad. Thus in return when we die, they should be crying and that we should be smiling. Then we will know that we fufilled our meaning in life, because we loved others and in return they loved us. Love is truly at the center of the meaning of life because as individuals, and other living things need love and the care that we can give

That's an interesting philosophical question, and one people have been arguing over for centuries. My view is, there is no real objective meaning or purpose to life, but we as sentient beings have the ability to give it our own meaning, to set and follow our own goals.

Life has no meaning. The purpose of living creatures however, is to perpetuate their genes. Read Richard Dawkins (Nobel prize winner).

The meaning of life is different for all that ask it. And yet it can be, in my opinion, summed up in three words.
Purpose.
Meaning.
Fulfillment.
For instance my PURPOSE in life is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all that are seeking salvation, love, mercy and compassion.
It is what gives my life meaning.
It is what offers me fulfillment.

To learn to love God and love others no matter what. Also, to grow up spiritually and be able to get closer to God and become more like Jesus. We were given life for God's pleasure. Life is so hard because it is through these hardships that we grow.
