It is unusually for a girl as young as you to be that overweight. Take it one step a day. Cut the carbs (breads, cereal, rice, etc.) and start to exercise more. Talk to you doctor.

There are only three ways to do it:

Weight Watchers (which works, takes time and costs money, but is very effective) plus exercise.

Atkins (which works quickly but special foods are involved and once you stop the weight comes back quickly, too) plus exercise.

The Food Guide Pyramid (works, doesn't cost a thing, is what is recommended by gov't nutritionists but you have to be diligent) plus exercise.

As young as you are, you must do this under the supervision of your doctor! I was an early bloomer, so in the sixth grade, while everyone else was 98 pounds and wearing size 0-1-2, I was 120 pounds and wearing a size 8. I had a horrible complex about this and worried constantly that I was fat. In retrospect, I realize that the rest of the girls were six inches or more shorter than I was and had not yet needed bras. You need to take into consideration your height and body maturity and find the weight goal that is right for YOU, not your classmates.

That being said, I've tried the Atkins with great results. After my second child, I gained about five pounds a year and when she was three I decided I was done feeling huge and having no energy. In three months, I lost 40 pounds and now, two years later, I've gained maybe three or four of them back... but just having that weight off will give you more energy and make it easier to be more active.

If your parents and doctor approve, ask to try the Atkins diet for a few months. You'll find after the first week you stop craving carbs, and after a few weeks, anything with sugar is just too sweet.

Drink 1-2 cups of green tea (hot or cold) every day to flush your system. Drink your eight glasses of water every day, too.

DON'T FORGET TO GET ACTIVE. It gets easier every day. Try walking around the neighborhood every evening after dinner. When I combined Atkins with strolling the kids around the block for an hour each night, the weight poured off.

Check with the doctor, check with your parents, and good luck. I know you can do it!!!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

Hi,

I am a detox specialist and I specialize in helping people lose weight.

The easiest and FASTEST way I know is to detox.

I myself have lost 15kg within 2 mths doing a detox.

A detox is healthy because it brings balance back to your body and losing weight is just a by product of the detox. So at the end of the detox, you will find yourself get more energetic, healthier, more radiant looking as well.

And the detox is simple. All you need to do is three things.

Number one, follow the detox programme which requires you to change your diet a little bit. Eg, take more vege and less meat and seafoods.

Number two, use 1 minute a day to take some natural health foods that I take to enhance the speed and the effect of the detox.

Number three, drink lots of water to flush the toxins out..

And that's it.

The rest is up to you.

So what do you think? ;)

If you are keen to find out more about my detox programme, you can email me at verityy@yahoo.com.

I need to lose 70lbs... and I'm struggling and often times getting very discouraged, so I know how you must feel.

Take it slow. Dont do anything unhealthy. My best advice would be eliminate junk food (on a special occasion (birthday) have a small piece of cake...or a cookie...but cakes, chips, and cookies should not be every day foods)... instead, add a lot of fruits and vegetables to your diet. Ask your parents (or whoever you might live with) to not buy junk food, and instead to fill the house with fresh fruits and veggies.

I have 3 little siblings (i'm 19, they're 5,6,7 years old..) and my mom ALWAYS buys junk food for them...when its in the house, its SO hard to stay away from it... but when we have fruits and veggies- i ALWAYS eat them instead.

Also, walk as much as you can. walking is a great exercise that everybody can do. People shed pounds just walking. Find a friend to walk with..... or if you can afford it (they're quite expensive) purchase a tredmill (or ask for it as a birthday/holiday gift).. when you have a tredmil you can set it up in front of the TV and when you would NORMALLY be sitting down watching tv, you can now walk and watch tv..

Take it slow..these things take time..... Healthy foods, small portions, LOTS OF WATER, take your multivitamin, and try to get as much exercise in as you can each day...(walking is great for people who are overweight becuase its easy on your body. If you cant walk very long without getting out of breath...just walk as much as you can, and stop. each day aim for a little more)

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

The best way to lose weight is by exercising and controlling the amount of food you eat, miracle diets make you lose weight yes but chances are its only gonna pile back since you wont be eating properly.
You should ask your parents to help you with this. Good luck!

Well bike riding and walking for a couple hours a day will help. If your parents take you to Mcdonalds, instead of ordering happy meals or cheeseburger meals, eat a salad. Eat more fruits and vegtables. You also might want to talk to your mom or dad about joining a weight loss program.

There are several ways to go about it, some cheap while some expensive.
In fact i would recommend you to look after what you have been eating, your excerising hours and so on.
If you're really keen, I do have some ways to suggest to you. You can choose. I don't say it sure work for you, but i do see several people gain.
