Sure, I'll pray for you...however, you really have free choice in this.... take the steps necessary to make a committment to stopping and then stick to your word....I don't think that there's an easy way out...join AA & follow through....or don't and keep worrying and ruin/risk your life and lives of your family and everyone around you....it's your choice....

Try AA

4 Slogans For Beginners

Try more than one meeting or group.

Even if you think it is malarky or if it is information overload at your first meetings. Come Back. We know how you feel, we felt many of the same things you are feeling. Shamed, guilty, and not sure that we were alcoholic. We even felt judged and alone in our first meetings. Come back. We did many of the same things and felt many of the same feelings. You never have to be alone again.

Don’t Drink

A.A. teaches a program of abstinence. Many of us had a very difficult time stopping. We had to not drink for just today or just for this hour or minute. And go to the next meeting you can find. Some of us had to be weaned of alcohol in a hospital or treatment facility. AAs recommend a detox stay. Many of us would be dead if it was not for medical help withdrawing from alcohol. If you have made it through withdrawal, keep in mind, it is easier to stay dry than it is getting dry. AA meetings help with the drinking thinking and members will give some ideas about what to do with the time we spent drinking.

Go To Meetings

The surest way to learn how others do the sober thing is to go to meetings that have people that drank like we drank. AA members share their experience on how they drank, what happened to bring them to quitting, and what it is like now. You may be able to identify with someone or two and find common ground. We found great hope ourselves when we began to utilize tools of the sober trade gleaned from the experience of sober AAs.

Pray

We did. We now live life free of the slavery of the malady of alcoholism. The hopelessness and futility of life as we had been living called for drastic measures to change. We resorted to prayer and it worked. It has been said; “There is nothing so strong as prayer.” We found this to be true. When we sincerely asked for help, we got it. Even if we didn’t really believe, for some reason, when we meant we wanted to stop, it worked.

alcoholism is a disease so like a person with cancer you should seek medical and professional help with the prayers. Very few persons have a sudden and miraculous recovery from alcoholism-one of the co-founders Bill W. was one of the few and continued recovery for him was by helping others. The best thing to do is get involved in AA and church if you wish. recovery is one Day at a time and support from others is vital to your recovery. The people in AA have seen and done it all when it comes to alcohol and are very caring and helpful if you are sincere and work the 12 steps to overcome your addiction. God be with you.

I can not pray for you, nor for anybody else. However, I do wish you success and do recommend Alcoholics Anonymous. They've helped several people I've known recover their humanity. Best of luck!

It is not up to me to get you to stop drinking, I could pray all day everyday and it wouldn't do any good unless you are committed to quiting.
Check out AA and get some help...
