Most of the people on here are right...either take her into the mens room or the family restroom. You could also ask a lady that is walking into the ladys room if she minds taking your daughter inside. I assume your child is potty trained by now and can do everything on her own (if not then you have worse problems than deciding which bathroom to go into), so she just needs someone to walk inside with her basically. Most women won't mind spending an extra minute inside the bathroom. A lot of men seem to get strange vibes about little girl children and the stigmas that they will have to face being alone with a little girl in the bathroom, but it's okay. I would say it's better if she can go into the lady's room, but if she really has to go, then it doesn't matter where she goes.

Because she is still so young it would be ok for the father to take her to the men's room. It also would not hurt to ask a woman if she would take your daughter to the bathroom.Maybe like an employee that isn't too busy. But i think its ok to take her in the men's bathroom. But if you do ask a woman make sure you wait right their at the entrance of the bathroom so nothing happens to your daughter. And if you take your daughter remember this important rule:Don't let her sit on the toilet.Cover it with toilet paper before she sits.

They can go into the male restroom, or if it's a single restroom he can take her to the womens.
Luckily most places now offer family restrooms!
I have a six year old, when we are in public I take him to the womens restroom, because I can go in there, I can't go into the mens restroom...and you never know who's in there.

I read somewhere where the man is supposed to knock on the door, and ask if it is alright to bring in a female child into the ladies room. . But, I think it is ok to take a 3-year old into the men's. Just stay with her, try to block her view of the urinal, take her into a stall, quickly.

He should take her to the mens room. It's find to take little kids into the restrooms of the opposite gender, but people wouldn't be too pleased if adults went into the restrooms of the opposite gender.

I'm sure it's easier for mothers to take their young children to the restroom as all has doors in there...whereas in the men's room there are more openly exposed areas to be viewed by small children...especially a little girl.

A suggestion . . . maybe just place your hands over her eyes than take her immediately to a private stall with a door. Then when leaving do the same...keep her eyes covered. If she asks why you're covering her eyes...just explain the situation that you are looking out for the respect of privacy for her and the other men who might be in the men's room.

You'd then have to take along hand cleaning wet wipes to clean her hands when done because you obviously can't stay in the men's room to wash hands.

Another suggestion...maybe ask a female person who works at the public place and ask them to take your daughter to the women's room. How to know if that asked adult is to be trusted ? Awkward situation . . . but there's my suggestions.

The mens restroom, not only is good restroom etiquette is more for safety. I wouldn't want my children to go in by themselves. But as everyone else already mentioned; luckily many places are now offering family restrooms.

A small child does not have any sex urge, appeal or knowledge. That why no one objects to a child being taken to either the gents or the ladies toilet. It is the adult accompanying the child whose presence in the toilet of the opposite sex can be objected to. Hence the sex of the adult determines the toilet to which the child can be taken. In simple words, if a man is taking the child (boy or girl) to the toilet, he would have to go to the gent's restroom; conversely if a woman is taking the child (boy or girl) to the toilet, she would have to go to the ladies bathroom. (The sex of the child is not to be considered).

A dad can take a youthful lady into the bathing room basically the comparable that a mom can take a youthful boy into the bathing room. She is far too youthful to be despatched right into a public bathing room on my own. Many places now have a "kinfolk restroom" basically for issues like this. yet whilst all it incredibly is obtainable is a men's & women human beings's seperate bathing room, then of direction she could pass interior the lads's room with him. regardless of the undeniable fact that he ought to hide her eyes as they walk previous the urinals to a stall :)

I've occasionally had men ask me to take their daughters to the bathroom. It's very awkward. Some men just don't feel comfortable taking their daughters in the men room. I don't know if I would want my daughter in the mens room. If you don't have any other alternative then I guess you have to take her to the mens room.
