On godparents [seeing as I dont have any godchildren]
Well, one of mine is dead, and the other lives in Germany and I haven't seen her in years. I guess if my parents fall ill or die soon, I'd just live with my brother for the time being.
So in my case, I dont really 'care'. However if you have them, they are probably close family friends or relatives, so you should care about them as much as you would any other adult in that station.
