I think the government's look the other way policy has created a confusing situation for all involved.
Some immigrants come into this country illegally but pay taxes and hope to sometime become citizens. They have a strong desire to succeed and actually create jobs in this country.
However, it's hard to get past the fact that they did break the law to get here. I think some immigrants contribute a lot to this country, but I'd prefer if they would apply for a work visa and enter legally. Too many times illegal immigrants get taken advantage of by employers.

Many are the following to help their households or to flee risky situations. That being suggested, they did smash our guidelines. We enable a particular type of immigrants each 12 months depending upon what our us of a will help. Its a demanding question, because I understand both side of the problem. i imagine we ought to continuously enhance the variety of commonplace immigrants, not enable unlawful immigration, yet enable if you're operating for his or her lives.

No, I don't care for your take on the immigration situation. I say they can return home either voluntarily or through deportation. The ones who go voluntarily can then apply through the legal channels to return and wait in line like everyone else who does it legally. The ones who wait for deportation should be barred for life from ever returning. When they come here legally, THEN they can be added to the tax base and pay their fair share of taxes. If they apply to come here legally and are turned down for any reason that they do NOT qualify, as determined by our immigration officials, then that does NOT mean that they go ahead and come on in illegally, anyways. No, it means that they do whatever needs to be done to be able to QUALIFY and if they cannot, then they must stay in their own country or try to apply to immigrate to another country to which they may qualify, LEGALLY. These people need to learn that NO means NO. If they are uneducated and have nothing to offer our country, then we do not want them and they need to stay OUT. Nothing short of following our laws from the starting point, meaning come in LEGALLY, should be tolerated and there should be no short-cuts or freebies to make it easier for some than for others.

What makes you think an illegal would want to pay taxes if they had a choice? They already get government services for free, did not wait to have their papers processed legally and now pay taxes? The first thing they did upon entering the US was to break the law. (entering illegally) This speaks of what kind of people they are.**

And what is wrong with walking to the nearest LEGAL entry point, requesting the proper forms in THEIR language, going about the immigration process LEGALLY?
No one has forced these criminals to perform the criminal acts they have chosen. Immigration into America is completely voluntary!
Ask a lifelong criminal to turn themselves in? Yeah, like that will happen.

They didn't do the paperwork to get here in the first place and you honestly expect them to now "register" because we said so? They have already displayed how little they regard our laws and processes...it won't happen. The current laws need to be enforced, the loophole giving automatic citizenship to babies born here to illegals needs to be closed, people who knowingly hire illegals need to be prosecuted. If we excuse them coming here illegally how many other violations of laws will we be expected to excuse? The only problem with the current immigration laws is lack of enforcement.

I'd rather have the money I spend to support these "illegals" be spent to deport these "illegals". There is a right and legal way to enter and live in this country. Our "forebearers" did it properly, and so should the rest of them. Deport them all.

There are millions of people in the world that want to move to America that cannot, but any Mexican can commit a crime by sneaking across our border and you want to give them instant citizenship? You're an idiot. And you wonder why so many Americans hate Mexicans.
Laura, if you are ashamed of America, move to Mexico.

What about the fact that they can't pay enough in taxes to cover their children's education much less other services, that our schools are failing and hospitals are closing to the point where just throwing money isn't enough, and that each would then be able to bring family, all of whom would get preference before workers we actually need, who we all know employers will ALSO get in, somehow?
