Wildman, tell me. With all of the religions out there, how many do you think are worshipping the right god. You see, that's the issue. Not how many are out there, but whose god is God. You know and I know that God exists. What we wonder about is if we have the right God. Has He never done anything for you? Can you look back and sincerely say that since you were born, God has never answered one of your prayers? I'm not talking about getting lucky, and things just happening to turn out okay. I'm talking about when there was no hope, and the only thing, the only one left to depend on, was God. You're a Christian? Search the past. Search your heart. I think you will once again find that He is real.

I feel you. Look to space, nature, different races, to science, to the civilizations existing way the hell before the Bible was written etc...It is too complicated and vast for our human brains to comprehend. Those that can't handle the big picture turn to a God or a religion for simple answers to the unknown. We need something to hold onto and believe for what we cannot find answers to, it's human nature.

I was raised as a Christian, but I thought logically. I secretly couldn't believe in a God, and deep down I still can't. I do not express this to many due to the persecution and hate spewed by the oh so moral Christians and their like.

You'll probably struggle with this for a long time to come. Many, many people do even if they claim to have true faith. The biggest hypocritical, self loathing, glutenous, jealous ridden, envious people can be found in church.
And isn't it ironic...

There are NOT many religions.
There are only 2.
Most religions teach the same thing .....trinity, hell-fire, immortal soul, going to heaven.
All these ideas are definitely NOT Biblical.
So, you can forget all those religions ...if you are looking for truth.
Please note Jesus' words at Matthew 7:13
"Broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it. Whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it."
According to Jesus, the true religion would not be one of the major religions. It would be a small group.
Look for a small group that is doing what Matthew 24:14 talks about.

This is a question only you are able to answer. What you believe is what You believe. You need to do your own research. If you hold to the belief that the Bible is inspired of God, then look at the world and remember this; Jesus said " my kingdom is no part of this wold." "If they have hated me, they will hate you (his disciples) also. A slave is not Grater than this Master." So if Satan is the Master of the Air (On Earth), then look for the religion that is in contrast to the flow of the way of this world, taking the "long but narrow road" instead of the "broad and spacious road." And more importantly Pray for direction from God. He will find his lost "sheep."

I just figure the world is too intricate a place to have been created for no reason.

There is too much in the way of order in our genetic make-up etc. for it all to be totally random nothingness.

This is my opinion.

My thought is that if you are looking for more faith or spirituality, you might try out different churches to see which one is a good fit or comfortable to you.

The truth probably is that all the religions have something to offer, or probably most do.

I don't think there is any problem with all the different religions being out there. I see some truth in all and I adhere to one faith and attend church when I can myself.

No organized religion is right because all of them are led by mortal sinners like everyone else. These religious leaders, of any religion, will say or do anything if it's good for their own agenda. Faith is a personal relationship between you and God. He is the only one who is right and who has the truth. At the end, He is the only one who has the right and power to judge us.

Hello. Don't be afraid.

Faith is trust and when you see and feel things are not right, you lose trust, you lose faith.

I could show you wonderous things, amazing things that show God exists- see the Journey of All on
http://www.ucadia.com

But I feel, you need less reading and more reassurance.

Just because evil actions have deliberately caused the message of Jesus and the Nazarenes to be suppressed, for superstititions to be raised as dogmas, doesn't mean God does not exist.

Please, please have a quick look at
http://one-heaven.org the divine revelation of a united heaven- the end of cursing. This document, let along this concept has never existed until now!

Do you really think God is just going to let everything be swept away? What you feel is because you are a witness to the greatest change in religious awareness for thousands of years- no more will simplistic superstitions be allowed to mask the truth of who and what Jesus was and is.

Ready yourself and your heart. God Bless.

First Christian is just a name taken by those who believe that JESUS was GOD in the flesh. JESUS said " I AM THE WAY> THE TRUTH> AND THE LIFE" no one comes to the FATHER but by ME. Second, the word says" Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. I'm reading a book that explains things pretty good, its written by HAROLD CAMPING from Family radio, I got it on the WEB for free, the title is TIME HAS AN END. try it , it might help you, I'll be praying for you.

Being a Christian (child of the living God) means you have a personal relationship with him. God will and does reveal himself to those who seek him with all their heart, soul and mind. You will not get the security you seek, that God is real and cares for you, from any other human being. It comes only from God himself. It is written that salvation (faith and trust in the Lord) is a gift from God lest any man should boast.

It's almost as though religion is an unnatural state of mind, hey. It's like an introduced species that has spread rapidly to cover the landscape, out-competing the native species for life space. The only really natural state of mind is a lack of religion. A freedom from theism.
