keep your skin moisturized. take care of your body, it may surprise you to know that eating right and staying healthy is good for your skin too and it will prolong the life of your tattoo and your youthful skin in general. the MOST important thing is to keep your tattoos OUT OF THE SUN!!!! you can't just wear sunscreen and hope they'll be protected. the UV rays still break down the ink over time even when you wear sun protection. keep your tattoos covered.

Put unscented lotion on it everyday, especially after a shower, the more the merrier. Avoid swimming in chlorine for as long as possible (even a few years, but not neccessary). Of course use a high grade (SPF 2000?) sunscreen whenever you go out, even in the winter time. And it will last a long time

Oh, don't use cocoa-butter lotion, for some reason it made one of mine fade, so I never used it again.

Enjoy your tattoo(s) for ever. Fu*k all the haters that are against it!!!

Most Importantly..everything plays a part in your daily routine.Etc..Sleeping hours(sleep early),kind of food intake, lotion it,advoid scratching..round up to say..take good care of your general health being..

Tattoos are a form of symbolic expression to many people across the world, they are a form of art .So..Those who disagree of having a tattoo, just leave this tattoo section out..stop being "shallow" minded..cuz u are making yourself looking like a fool in this tat2 community

you can't; that's why you shouldn't get them. What looks "attractive" now will start bleeding and getting paler as your life goes on.
