God is real and faith is a gift from him. It is not about what you believe but about making yoruself open to HIS truth. those who love the truth seek the truth with all of their heart and to those God gives the gift of faith...It is not our wisdom nor our idea of faith but the faith that God gives you and through this faith comes revelation. God literaly makes the truth real to you. Then you will have a relationship with God.
It is not by our wisdom we know God but by his devine revelation.

I'm looking at some of the answers you got and it makes me wonder where peoples anger stops and their willingness to understand begins.
I find the statement rather vague. If I translate faith into the word "trust" it makes more sense to me. In other words, devote yourself to what you say you are committed to, or believe in.
I don't have a problem with that. If that is what was meant by that statement then I would agree that it would be better to not be wishy-washy, I think that wishy-washiness isn't the way to be intellectually sound.
How would I do that? Explore the finessity of what it is you personally believe. If what you believe is somehow flawed then it will perhaps be challenged or somehow brought to your attention. You may choose to adjust to conform to your beliefs more soundly with the error being corrected, or that you find that your once held belief found to be an error in general.

It probably means whats sound the truth to u believe in it.
When u know its true u simply want to believe it because its the truth.JESUS said i am the way,the truth and the life.Read John 14:6.This is the truth that GOD loves u so much that he sent his son JESUS to die for u to reconcile u back.
John 3:16 says "For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoso ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life".Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.
With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.

I would read this as a message that simply says, be true to what beleifs and values you hold close to your heart, whatever you believe in makes you stronger and wiser - like in lessons we learn through simply living life, what wisdom we gather along the way stands us in good stead for the future, also in the religious beliefs we may have - we live by our own individual set of moral standards and by our knowledge based on our life experiences.

It's a circular statement. But, really, it makes no sense. If you already believe in something more than anything else, you already have faith in it. The problem is, you may believe in yourself more than anything or anyone else. That would not be good for you. Faith in someone who is greater than yourself is much smarter. He can do things that you can't.

Because if you do that you will find the truth,Life is a circle and you can try many things. This is a great Question. When you keep searching eventually you will find that Jesus is the only way.The circle keeps going and you keep following it until you stumble on the truth. That is when you find Jesus. He actual finds you wanting to find Him.Jesus is waiting. And when a person is searching deep within their hearts for the truth the truth finds them and then instead of following the circle you are a part of the circle

dogmatic faith EITHER way is not good because that would retard progress..i mean what would be the situation if everybody had been so sure that the earth was flat and had never bothered to think about it and even after it DID ocur had point blank refused to even consider it? if people had been so very obstinate regarding everything,we'd still be stuck in the caveman ages!
one must believe if one has evidence to do so and if what one believes in makes sense.however, one must never be too obstinate (if provided with sufficient evidence) to change one's mind.
