have been reading here for the past 2 days about OBES and sleep walking and stuff. i would love to experience a OBE one night while sleeping. But how would i go about doing so? and im scared that if i was to have one, i wouldnt be able to get back in my body or something lol. I mean, when your floating over your body, what brings you back in? if youve had one, did you just go lay where your body was, or did you like just randomly re enter without making yourself? and how long do you get to fly around? i asked my dad and he said he had one while getting knee surgery, that he floated up and saw his body, then went over to a heater in the room and saw a doctor wake him up, so he woke up. but since it would be at night, who would be there to wake me up?

in general, theres little to no threat of not being able to get back. in general all normal people are very securely attached astrally in such a way that it takes pretty deliberate/avoidable action to get around. (almost every culture has some concept of this)

you, as you know yourself to be, is not all there is to your awareness. think of it as having a cord that can be tugged to pull you back. and that for all intents, when its tugged you snap back immeditaley.

too bad there have been cases of such viewings where the person was able to observe things that happened while they were "out" in such a state, and it actually be accurate. frequently they don't even realize or connect the dots.

if you get "lost" or panicky or something like that, just tell yourself to wake up, and it should work. if it doesn't feel right. don't push it.

ok. i used to be all into the occult. should be able to offer my services to an extent. the idea is just to lay there. go into a trance and just let yourself float out. don't concentrate into it too hard or it won't work. there are plenty of sites on this with better details. type in "astral projection" into a search engine.

i only did it once, not an expert.

edit: you can scare yourself back into your body. it can end while you want it to go on like my did. it's something that requires lots of practice. anywhoo, you don't need someone to wake you up.

My experiences just happened. I didn't control them, but they just happened. Please don't make the mistake of relying on drugs to experience them. I have experienced out of body without them.

Waking up, or the inability to do so is a scarey thing. But once you wake up you have to be strong enough to realize that there is risk to these experiences. Either abandon the idea or embrace the risk.

there are so many things that we don't know. I have a friend who left his body while being abused and was able to sit back and watch it happening, and you wouldn't meet a more 'logical' guy. I was really surprised when he told me, and I've known him for years. read about it, research it...stay open;)

I think your Dad was dreaming. Your dad was under medication at the time of his surgery, so he was not "with it".

Think logically next time please.
