I don't know if it's a love/hate thing. Who hates cookies!? That's scary!
Personally shortbread is my very favorite cookie.

love it from the traditional petticoat tails to M &S shortbread which has the end dipped in belgian chocolate

I love it. Always have done. Especially the home-made stuff that you can get from the little bakeries and shops in The Lake District and Scotland!
