If so, all Christian churches are cults. Those ordinances are very sacred and VERY Christian. look for what's right and you will be overwhelmed. Don't knock, the door is open, so come right in.

No the temple rituals (which are pagan rites based on the masonic rituals) are not what makes it a cult. The fact that Joseph Smith is held up in such high esteem, and being likened to Jesus Christ is what makes them a cult. THe fact they follow a prophet and not the Bible is what makes them a cult, the fact that they have changed the gospel to suit themselves and their doctrines is what amkes them acult........do you want me to keep going? Where do you get of saying that the Temple rites are Christian? I never had to swear to spill someones blood on the ground or have my throat slit from ear to ear.

EDIT And since when has the door to the temple been open to anyone but mormons carrying a temple recommend?

Some of the reasons that mainline Christians consider the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be a cult is the fact that the LDS teaches that there are more than one God, the teaching that we can become gods, the denial of the deity of Christ, and the addition of the Book of Mormon and other writings to what, according to the LDS, must be considered as Scripture.

LDS is not a cult, we believe we can be like God, that is where the whole us believing we can be Gods comes from.
