If only this was the norm here,it is getting to the point were you find one or two logical questions and the rest are plain stupid, these posts that ask things such as,`Did Jesus wear blue bedroom slippers for example are mind numbingly stupid and do nothing for intelligent debate.

And what reason should an atheist have to do that? Atheist deny the existence of a god. What does this have to do with historical figures?

Although in answer to your question - would they (atheists asking questions about real people) actually ask them in religion and spirituality which is surely more for fictional romans and jews.
