Need to tow new caravan - Tare weight 910kg, Tow ball weight 105kg. Want recommendations for a car that can tow caravan - don't want to spend over $7000 (max) and preferably not over 150000kms on the car.

I tow with a turbo charged diesel Ford Courier and it is the greatest towing machine I have ever had and I have towed for over 50years. You may be able to pick up a good ute for about the money you have try the Internet or trading post.Go for a turbo diesel twice the power for half the cost.

See if you can find a used Toyota Camry. Best luck will be from a private party. Very few are traded in as they are handed down in family. One of the most reliable cars on the road. They go forever with no problems. My cousin (female) is on her 3rd new Camry and has never traded one in but has sold through newspaper Ad. I worked in a Ford Dealership all my working life, 45 years, and it is not easy to admit the Toyota is fantastic automobile.

The best vehicle for your money to tow a caravan is a falcon .through experience i have a caravan and a falcon they tow with ease.
