No, I had 3 done 7 years ago, 1 on neck and 2 on back. The painful part is when they inject the lidocaine painkiller in the area before they remove it, but it's just a pinch, nothing more. Go for it you will be happy with it, there may be a small white scar, depending on how good the doctor is.

I have had lots of "things" removed from my face. The removal was painless on all. There is a difference in pain during the numbing injection, depending on where the growth is (Sometimes the mole is something else:skin tags, warts, skin cancers and other things) I have had a couple of each. (If it is around your eye lashes, your doctor will probably send you to a plastic surgeon). That's what mine
did.
You asked the question and I am going to be honest with you. Since you didn't say where the "mole" is on your face, I will tell you about the pain of the injection, from my experiences. The good news is that the pain of the injection only lasts for a few seconds. After that there is almost no pain.
The most painful places are around the nostrils and eye lids especially around the eyelashes. (but it wasn't unbearable). It may make your eyes tear up a little, just because of the location. Everywhere else was almost painless for me.
Anyway, if it is something that has changed in size, shape or color, you need to have it checked as soon as possible. It is usually ok, but it could develop into something else. The sooner you go, the better.
I hope you have found this helpful.

Take a tiny threading needle, clean it real good then take a lighter and burn the tip of the needle for a couple of seconds about a good 10 seconds, then slowly touch and tap your mole, now before you do this you should check with a doctor to make sure your moles can be burnt off because some may not be safe to remove and can do real harm to you soo, check with doctors first, get the ok, and your good to go

During the procedure, no. The most pain you should feel is the prick of the needle they use to freeze the area. Afterward you might feel some discomfort, but nothing that something like tylenol can't take care of. Though it is somewhat unsettling to hear the procedure when you can't feel what's going on.

your general physician can remove a mole in an office visit and send it off to the lab and its painless it doesnt have to be a surgeon...im a nurse practioner and i remove moles on patients when they come in..i just inject them a bit with lidocaine and cut that puppy off and bandage them up and send them on there way...

Ever heard of anesthetics? Bet your doctor does, that is, if he thinks it may be necessary. Actually a dermatologist can do that in his office. If you need surgery then the mole must be pretty bad.

No it's not...the surgeon actually analyzes your skin type and chooses the right kind of laser therapy for your face...even though you will feel some irritating effect when the process is going on...
