No Claims Bonus (NCB) is usually valid for 2 years from the expiry/cancellation date in the UK. Use it quickly! If however it isn't possible, provided your driving record is clean (ie no claims or convictions), usually where no NCB is given, the insurer will often allow an introductory NCB which can be as much as 65% (equivalent to maximum).

You should be able to claim the no claims bonus for two years from the date of expiry. I suggest you use a broker rather than the internet as the broker will be able to confirm this for you when they offer you a quote but on the internet you may inadvertently go with a company that doesn't accept the bonus.
You dont say if the bonus was on a motorcyle or private car policy - if on a private car policy then you should be able to use it on a motorcycle policy but may have difficulty in getting it transferred back to a car policy.

I think you've lost your entitlement to bonus, but IF you have the paperwork showing your 05 entitlement and proof of no recent incidents you should be able to get an introductory discount, possibly as good as 50%. Probably best to go via a broker.

Unlikely, it has usually to be consecutive years, maybe try an insurance broker on this one, s/he may know of exceptions.
