An omnipotent God cannot create a morally free agent (angels or humans) that is incapable of choosing to sin. Satan was morally free to choose to sin or not to sin.
Satan sought to remove external constraints so that he could live as he wished, without true regard to an authority. Satan imagined himself as a liberator. In short, Satan believed he could become God. This was also the first lie told in the garden of Eden.
Two observations:
1. Even in the very presence of God, there will be those that refuse to believe. Christ lamented as much in the bible, claiming that performing miracles did not convince the unbelievers in His midst. If Christ appeared today and performed miracles, the response would be the same.
2. Replace "Satan" with "the non-believer" above and everything still reads the same.

Satan was originally an archangel which goes by the name Lucifer, he was the most beautiful angel of all. Then came a time when he started realizing that he could do much better, being beautiful and all that, and in the end started gathering up recruits for his own rebellion, and fired up a war in the Heavens.
Obviously they lost, which caused him and the others away.

its a matter of effect in Isaiah 14:12-15 satan has/had a "i" problem but in the same book chapter 53 Jesus the second member of The Godhead [see Hebrews 13:8, John 8:58, John 1 for Jesus being God] and compare the two personality's, and that's the problem in trying to be ones own "master" sin the center letter is "i" you live in a world that has a results of sin "i" that has a total death rate, but Jesus came and set "i" aside, did you understand that when Jesus Christ being God set aside His divine body [His "i"] and took up a human body that when He went back to Heaven He took that same body not for just when He was here BUT FOREVER, to be JUST LIKE YOU, WOW amazing Love, and you are trying to tell me you think you can do better then that? find out more free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org email me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

Probably pride.
But man can rebel too.Because he has his own choice.but GOD loves u so much he wants u to be with him.
John 3:16 says "For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoso ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life".Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.
With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.

He was jealous of humans. He wanted them to be good all the time, and consequently, as he was very handsome, some other Angels followed him. So he was cast down here, and unfortunately, drives us nuts. He wanted to force goodness, while God wanted people to have free will. So, he offered Adam an apple and it contained knowledge, (SCIENCE), so the Garden was destroyed for that Culture, they became agriculturalists and then got into wars and hierarchy. Then they became radical atheists. : )

Because god was saving all the virgins in heaven for the 21st century and satan couldn't wait for some real action so he took a third of the angels with him down to earth to have themselves a time.

Satan only exists in the monotheism belief of Christianity. people say that he rebelled because the cannot accept the fact that they themselves a impure. they use his name as a scapegoat. to understand this concept i strongly suggest that you master the art of astral projection. all the answers you seek will be given to you by the universe. given that you travel to different astral planes to find them.

well originally satan was one of the angles of god but he rebelled when god ordered him to vow sign of respect to Adam but he refuses therefore he rebelled,but before that he asked god a favor which is to keep him alive until the end of time and he promises to disturb sons of Adam(we are) so that we can accompany him in hell..may god help us to stay in the right track!
