I believe those who ridicule others are not secure in their faith Susan
so I do not let those people bother me
but you are right , we should not critisise others choices
most people come to those decisions by circumstance and personal experiences
until we know and understand those experiences..... what right have we to critisise

well it's natural in forums like this to agree/disagree/criticise etc..what shouldn't be allowed are personal insults...
now don't think i'm being personal or whatever but i think christians may feel like everybody's criticising their faith because the question of "whether or not God exists?" is a hot topic these days....but i do think u have to realise that more often than not people who don't believe in God end up criticising your views is because,in the 1st place,YOU yourselves try to convince other people that God does exist.
just read up the ansers to that Q asked previously on "what about christians bother people?" (go to my profile and check in my answers list if u like), the major point that almost every answer contained was that they didn't like how christians try to convert all the time.
i can't speak for all the people in the world but i usually get into arguments only if i'm PROVOKED in the 1st place...so may be if u stopped trying to GET people to believe, other people will stop trying to make you NOT believe
peace :)

Jesus had a way of saying very wise and profound statements. I believe his message was always the same....that we should Love one another.!!
Some people, confuse their loyalty to their faith as being more important than treating other people with kindness.
Being unkind to others....is not a good way to defend religion.

Thats the problem.
There is only one truth.
Only one of us can be correct.
If I point out something that is stated in the Bible, and you believe something else, WHO IS CORRECT.
It HAS to be the Bibl;e.
If we have been taught something by a minister of religion, and it is not supported by the Bible, supposedly the ministers handbook, WHO IS CORRECT.
the minister would have to be wrong.
When Jesus said he was sent BY HIS FATHER, how can ANY minister claim that Jesus is God himself.?
They are simply WRONG.
It hasa nothing to do with insults or such. It is simply ' telling it like it is.

Forums are usually for discussions. This involved criticisms and justifications of beliefs, this is a natural process in progressive societies. Just as people discuss politics in this way, so should they with religion.

The pitch of your question is a tad subjective. Life is full of blood and guts and one must allow to live with those who can be a bit rough in their rhetoric.
Peace

you will desire to do and have faith what you experience. I too have a exceedingly non secular kin and replaced into cited under christian values, and that worked for me until eventually I grew to grow to be curious and commenced doing the examine of the history of my faith and heavily comparing the a number of christian assumptions, and after doing so i could no longer persist with that anymore. It made no logical experience to. My kin replaced into upset of direction whilst i began out voicing my actuality, and my dad particularly took it no longer basic. i'm confident he thinks i've got 'strayed from the path' and want the mercy of his god, yet i actually experience undesirable for him, on each occasion we commence thinking particular concepts he purely blindly follows he gets visibly shaken being out of his convenience zone.. it rather astonished me how a techniques he would bypass to no longer take a life like look at himself. i assume it would would desire to do with how long he's been ingrained in those ideals.. this is like they crystallize extra and extra until eventually their perspective is so inflexible and hardened it would invoke a severe emotional reaction to aim to break via it. i advise you to seek for out your individual actuality. this is not any longer doing each individual any long term earnings to pretend they are somebody they are no longer. finally, you're merchandising your self wanting infinite skill, and in case you have been to pursue that i'm confident it would purely later fill you with experience sorry approximately.
