As long as you are still in the first trimester the baby should be fine. For the first three months the baby is not on you blood supply so don't worry. Even if you aren't in the first trimester any more there is a good chance the baby will still be fine. Quit taking the antidepressants, which I'm sure you already figured out, and mention to your OB when you go in for your first appointment (or even when you call to set up the appointment) everything you were taking just to be safe. As for the nuvaring I have a friend who got pregnant twice while on the pill with three babies and all three of them are now perfectly healthy teenagers. Good luck and congrats!!!

Hi. I've looked up the medications you're on, and it looks like you have very little to worry about. Dalacin is not shown to have any negative effects on a fetus. Cymbalta and Seroquel are pregnancy class C medications, which means your doctor needs to determine if the slight risks to the fetus are worth continuing the medications. The Nuvaring should pose no problems either.
Call your doctor ASAP and tell her/him that you've had a positive pregnancy test and are worried because of the meds you're on. They should be able to get you in quickly or perhaps talk to you over the phone and decide your best course.
Try not to worry, and best of luck to you both.

Don't stress....I was on Prozac when I discovered I was pregnant this time and the doctor said it was fine as I stopped taking them straight away. If you need to continue with antidepressants, there are mild forms available for pregnant mothers. I wouldn't worry about the Nuvaring either...as long as it is out now, there shouldn't be lasting effects and I am sure your baby will be fine. I did a lot of things I am not proud of before I found out I was pregnant with my first 2 kids years ago and they turned out fine! Go to your doctor and tell him your concerns, I am sure they will say the same thing I have told you. Good luck.

Just stop freaking out!! You JUST got pregnant Im sure, so everything should be just fine!! I know people who went on roller coaster, and even drank alcohol at the beginnig of their pregnancies and they did not even know they were PG. So, all you can do is go see your doctor, and he/she will tell you from there what you need to do! Plus, you should not take any more of those pills unless your doctor gives you the OKAY. Good luck....and CONGRATS!!! This should be one of the happiest moments ever!!! So, go enjoy it, and stop thinking so negative and think a little more positive. You will be fine....call your doctor ASAP though!!!

Congratulations! Call your Dr. on Monday and make an appointment ASAP! Your Dr. will evaluate your health and decide whether or not you should take antidepressants and which ones. Eat healthy, drink lots of water, don't smoke, and make sure to exercise, and you will give your baby the best chance.
