i've got this question in my science book and it says.............................. You have painted something with an oil- based paint.Why can't you clean the brushes with water??

i know the answer but i can't put it in words help me please!

Actually...you can. Using the right soap, your brushes will become clean. However.
Once you cleaned your brushes that way they will be ruined for use on any fine painting.

I think the answer to the question is supposed to be:
Oil and water do not mix. The molecular structure of water repels oils and therefor it can not be used as a cleaning agent.
