I emphasize the LAST book in the bible, aka the Book of Revelation, and the extended foundation of the LDS Church, The Book of Mormon.

Both of these guys were given inspiration and direction from somewhere; an angel or a devine spirit.

No, it is not the same end result but don't you see the strange parallel?

John tells you that there will be no other books, no other prophets............. he scares you nearly to death with his writtings and you believe him! Then all of a sudden here comes Joseph Smith to speak about reforming Christianity and none of these religions are right.

Ever thought for one moment that, God possibly reincarnated John into Joseph Smith as a TEST?

Just think. THINK! Christianity is Christianity............... how can you ignore other divisions of Christianity? How?

PS: You cannot learn this in church. I have thrown you a curve ball which means you have to think for yourself. I expect some originality.

No because I don't believe in reincarnation and because John the Baptist actually conferred the Aaronic Priesthood upon Joseph so that priesthood could be restored back to the earth... there showing they are two separate beings...

Good luck. Mormons are taught not to think for themselves, so no original thought may occur.

I'm convinced JS's activities were the result of his family's treatment: the continual poverty and that JS Sr had been cheated out of a considerable amount of money. People to Jr and Sr became "marks" to be played. JS Jr had a some type of gift that convinced literally boatloads of people, sorta like Benny Hinn or Pat Robertson on steroids.

Dan Vogel's "Joseph Smith: The Making of a Prophet" is an interesting read. Mormons won't because Boyd Packer said, "..not everything that is true is useful..."

Um... i could like to be attentive to the place Jesus spoke against the Aaronic Priesthood. You declare it became into held via the Pharisees and Sadducees. It seems which you have it backwards. John the Baptist had the Aaronic Priesthood (this is, the priesthood given to Aaron, the brother of Moses, and his descendants). this is strictly why Jesus walked all the way from Jerusalem to Jordan and lower back to be baptized of John (if the Jewish leaders had the priesthood, he could have stayed in Jerusalem!). John the Baptist had the Aaronic Priesthood, which incorporates the authority to baptize. This authority became into misplaced from the earth after the Twelve Apostles called via Jesus have been persecuted and killed including many different believers. because a million) baptism is had to receive salvation (John 3:5) and a pair of) the priesthood (the authority to baptize) is had to baptism, John the Baptist acknowledged to Joseph Smith and conferred upon him the Aaronic Priesthood. yet you already knew that. : )

No..it never crossed my mind that Joeseph smith could be john the baptist....but now i see the reason for what i believed was arrogance and nastiness in your other question..anyone who could think God might take john and turn him into a fake and a liar like joseph smith has got to be influenced by satan.

We have the Bible..and we have nature. Joseph Smith and the book of mormon is only believed by the mormons..most certainly God would not want us messing with lies and liars.

No, because Joseph Smith had a talking hat and John Baptist wandered for days under the burning desert sun with no hat.

Read matthew 17:10-13. Jesus tells his disciples that John the Baptist is the reincarnation of Elijah. A lot of people hate this passage though no one seems able to refute it.

I don't think so. If that's so, then John's too unfortunate being killed two times!

P.S. J. Smith is damned cultic bullsheet that teaches that the Hebrews migrated to America and became Native Americans. Compare Smith and Muhammad. I'm not insulting anyone. I'm concerned about YOU.

I don't believe in reincarnation, and Joseph Smith was a nut. God wouldn't use nuts to "test" us. LOL.
