Maybe. In general, there are two types of fear; there's natural fear which arises when one is faced with an actual threat i.e., a tiger is literally attacking you. You can trust this type of fear. It will trigger body mechanisms that allow you to respond appropriately i.e., fight or flight. Then there's unnatural fear which arises when one indulges in imagined threats. Don't trust this type of fear, it creates unnecessary stresses on the body. The body knows it's getting danger signals from you, but since it can't find a correlation in the immediate environment, it will try to react and not react at the same time. It confuses the body. Confusion arises when one trusts in false information or believes a lie. It can have a drug-like effect on the mind. It creates a kind of fog in the mind that clouds judgment, puts one in a state of indecision and promotes self-doubt and feelings of powerlessness. If you're dealing with a serious case of confusion, stop, look and listen. Stop 'running amok' in your mind trying to find a way out, instead look carefully at the thoughts, images and words that are confusing you. Examine them objectively. Resist the urge to react. Listen to that inner voice that has always guided you, it's right there inside you, quietly speaking to you. It has always told you the truth and will help you clarify things. The fog will lift and/or you will find your out.

Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to the Dark side. :-)

All kidding aside, though I do think Yoda had many words of wisdom, you don't need quotes to help you deal with fear and confusion, for both are important parts of life. However, here are some words of advice that have served me well over the years:

Read a lot. The greater your perspective, the more choices you see, and the less confusion and fear you will feel.

Write a lot. We need to get our ideas and feelings out in some way, even if it is only on paper and only for ourselves.

Meditate. Pray. Connect with that which is more than you, for that will help you realize that you are more than yourself.

Do for others. This helps us get out of ourselves and realize that it isn't all about us. Being a part of helping others helps us to help ourselves.

Know thyself. Socrates once said that the unexamined life is not a life worth living. In other words, don't stumble blindly through life but take the time to get to know yourself. You may discover that there is a lot more to you than you thought.

Best of luck.

I would ask them who is it that is dealing with the fear and confusion. Fear and confusion are not really present they are of the past or future. I have been in two car wreaks I could have been hurt in both, a Friend was, both times during the accident I had no fear or confusion because I was totally present. ~ : )

What is it that you are afraid of and why do you "feel" confused? The best advice I can give is to question yourself until you have an answer then question the answer. Remember to ask the simple questions and look for simple answers, sometimes, very often actually it is exactly as it appears, but the log in your eye obscures your vision. What is stopping you see?

The best and most complete answer is from ' artfuldragon ' which involves reading, writing, acts of service to others, meditation, and knowing oneself.
The following is a beautiful prayer that can be said during meditation.

' O God! Refresh and gladden my spirit. Purify my heart. Illumine my powers. I lay all my affairs in Thy hand. Thou art my Guide and my Refuge. I will no longer be sorrowful and grieved; I will be a happy and joyful being. O God! I will no longer be full of anxiety, nor will I let trouble harass me. I will not dwell on the unpleasant things of life.
O God! Thou art more friend to me than I am to myself.

" I'm not afraid of the storm...for I'm learning to steer my ship ". I'd remind myself of that quote often when I was learning to be single again after a 23 year marriage. That quote reminded me to be patient with myself as I was moving through the transitions in my life.

Another quote I like that helped me . . . " Barns burned down...now I can see the moon ".
