That's a fair question, I think I can help you with that. The reason so many people ask this question is the setting in time. There is too much deviance from the word love in present time. To answer this question you are going to have to revert back into time.
"Love is patience, love is kind". One night stands are not love, I'll tell you that right now. The very opposite is going to be very close. A long relationship that you can depend on is getting close to your answer.
Love is a very complex formula, I would best summarize it as loyalty, patience, and kindness. If you have those three ingredients in a relationship, I would say you have good love.
This is brutal but we would really be better off finding love blind (at least colour blind). In present time there is so much vanity that is cloaking love, most people have a diverted sense of searching.

Now nareshkhumukcham, everyone knows what love is. Love is a feeling. Paul said, "God is Love." I believe that love between two people is when one person desperately wants their mate to succeed regardless to what may happen to themselves. Love is a total letting go of your own goals in favor of your mates goals. Love is gentle, kind, unassuming, caring always for others over self, giving rather than receiving. Love is not boisterous or loud, it does not make mistakes, and forgives others theirs. Love enjoys the sun and the moon because they are creations. Love hates a lie and evil. Love is the first thing you wake up to and the last thought at the end of the day. Love keeps you warm in the cold and cool in the heat. Love can never be beaten, or defeated. Love's answer is yes, and I hope so, and never no, or I don't think so. If there is a true absolute plus sign in math and logic it is Love. Love conquers all things, believes all things. Love's sadness is lack of mercy. Love's glass is always half full. If you ever want anything, have Love in your heart when you ask, believing you have already received that which you ask, and you shall receive. Love is the alpha, the beginning of all things, and Love is the omega, the end of all things. The Bible says, "All things shall pass away, and this one shall remain, Love." Very powerful. Gog Bless.

Mr. Naraesh, I feel we need to redefine the question what you have asked. Let me put it in this way instead, one can't definitely define a Love. It has to be felt through our inner self. Love is Eternal. It is every lasting and one can't define a boundary for it.
'Love' is different for different people. It does not have any specific form, or shape. It exists every where. You feel love through relationships - Mother, Father, Friends, Sister, Brother,etc..
"Love All. Serve All" - Have a great time Naresh!

Love is NOT a joke. Love is something that is more than just wanting to have sex with someone. Too many people confuse love with sex. Once those romantic feelings subside (and they eventually do), you will have to talk to this person. If all you have built the relationship on is sex, then it is very shallow, and it will die.
Love is more than an obsession with someone or wanting to possess them. They need to be their own person and have their own independence.
Love is finding a person who is confident enough in themselves that they don't really need you to feel whole, but would like to be with you, not because of what you have to offer entirely, but because of who you are as a person, who respects you and will not judge you, who you can be comfortable with just being yourself.
Love is knowing the other person has flaws, but accepting them anyway as part of this person's personality and liking them despite that.
Love is knowing that no matter how stupid something you say is would never criticize you for it.
Love is feeling like this person knows you better than anyone else and you want to spend every minute of every day with them, but, yet, give them space when they need it.
Love is desiring that person above all others and knowing that even if they look at others, it's only human and to not get upset and jealous over it.
There is a great Bible verse that talks about love. I can't remember it entirely, but it's something like "Love is patient and kind, not harsh, and love endures." That's it in a nutshell.

Love is suppose to be a feeling greater then liking something/ some one, where you truly think every aspect of something or some one is great and to be totally devoted towards it, being that it is a major factor in your life. People today say they love some one just by looking at them or being with some one for like 2 weeks, thats not love, these people don't know what love is, but they need something better then saying "like", so they say love because it sounds better.

love is all... its not only about your girlfriend or boyfriend or iwfe or whatever, it's about every relationship which counts for you?have you ever done something you didn't want to for the sake of someone else? it is love. have you ever felt like punching someone because he went in the bad crowd?it is love...have you ever felt lonely and jealous because your best friend ignored you? it is love.... love is about caring for others, love is about helping those who mean a lot to you because you want them to be happy, not because you want them to be grateful, love is about sharing, love is about all emotions and feelings, love is special, not romantic: its the feeling of love which is romantic. love is not all you want, but it is all you need. love is your courage, but it comes as weakness. love is your only way, still it brings helplessness. love is about happiness, but it brings sorrow. love is about taking chances, but it becomes risks. still, we will take it again and again, no matter how we are hurt, no matter how we are sad, no matter how we are weak, no matter how we are helpless, because love is special...
