Original sin, to me is being a human being, making mistakes, not being 'perfect'.

You don't need to be baptised either, heaven or hell do not exist.

(no offence intended)

Orignal sin is the same as moral reletivism.

Adam and Eve had by the account ONE command ONLY ONE and they decided that it was there right do decide what was right and wrong.

So the original sin is decided for yourself what is right or wrong and not trusting God. In otherwords a lack of faith. Do you still think that you can have faith without works christians? Its all through the scripture my brothers. Its impossible.

They need to be baptized for the remission of sin. I know you saved by grace people (and I believe that too but we have to look at all scripture not just the ones we like or fit OUR doctirnes to get a full picture) arn't going to like that but I'm not going to argue with Peter or Ananias.

Further more Peter also said that AFTER you are baptized you will recieve the gift of the holy spirit. I'm not missing out on that.

Also Yahshua even though he didn't have too set the example by being baptized himself then told his disciples to go and teach others everything he commanded them. The very best teaching tool is example.

Or you could decide that you don't need to and choose for yourself but there you go we are back to original sin.

Why water Baptism - It is to immerse a person in water and then bring out in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as Mathew 28:19
which means that the person has died with Christ and buried with his sins, but has risen up as a new creation being made again.

Bible Baptism is simply washings. This is an Old Testament doctrine for the Jews. Simply, Israel is the infinite chosen circumcised people of God to inherit the earth as from 1400 BC to AD 40. This water baptism was for Israel to be reconciled back to God. But for the Christian, there is only one baptism (Ephesians 4:5) INTO THE BODY, THE CHURCH (Spiritual Organism). 1 Corinthians 12:13 and this is the work of the Holy Spirit.

"Original Sin" is a concept that belongs to the Catholic church that basically says that every human born comes with sin already attached to them. Even if they do nothing in their life, they are held accountable and guilty of this original sin.

Other religions disagree on this particular concept, but I believe that all Christian folks agree that people are prone to sin. Sin is anything that separates us from God. Things that irritate God.

Baptism comes from a greek word that means to cleanse with water. It was used back then sort of like a cooking term. "Rinse those vegetables before you eat them/" would be "Baptize those vegetables before you eat them".

When a human is baptized, it is in obedience to the word of God. Yes, it is symbolic washing away of your sins. But it is also more than that.

The deeper meaning emulates the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. When we become saved, we "die" to sin and we "die" to fleshly, earthly desires to sin.

After this "death", of course we must be buried. Baptism in water, in the biblical sense, emulates burial because the entire body is completely immersed in the water.

And then, just like Jesus, we arise from being buried. As we come up out of the water, we emerge a "new creature", a "born again" Christian.

So indeed it is symbolic, but is also an act of obedience to God. There is no need to question it; you just do it out of respect and Love for God, but with the understanding of all it stands for.

Original in is the belief that we are born in sin, because of Adam (I think). I believe that we are punishd for our own sins though. Baptism is a symbolic action of our willingness to take upon us Christ's name. It is an ordinance by which we show oru faith and desire to follow him.

Ok, here is the abridged version:

Some chick named Eve ate an apple like millenia ago, and some talking snake talked her into it. Then Adam ate it too, so that made them both cursed by the Sky Daddy, and they gets throwed outta paradise.

Now the curse continues that all their kids and their kids, kids kids...x3,000 generations are cursed from Eve eating the apple. Newborn babies are born evil because of this old broad, Eve, eating some fruit.

The end.

The idea of "original sin" comes from the Puritans' perspective on the act of Eve giving Adam the apple. Due to this original sin in the Garden of Eden, humankind is doomed to damnation unless they seek forgiveness throughout their lives from the divine.

Baptism is a ritualistic ceremony to commemorate one's entry into the church. The water is to wash away one's human life and prepare one for the life in the church.
