Here's a bad experience in a store recently: I was in Louis Vuitton in soho a couple weeks ago. While the salespeople were very good, who let me try on sunglasses and check myself out, there was this ridiculous security guard. He followed only me around the store!!! It got ridiculous, when I would purposely walk to another counter to see if I was imagining anything. I wasn't. This man was crazy! It got so ridiculous, that I finally blurted out, "Why are you being so paranoid??? I do have money." I had a pair of sunglasses on, and my wallet on the counter. I walk away for a moment to check out a purse, he takes the sunglasses off the counter and packs them away in the door. The salesperson comes back and asks me, "Where are the sunglasses?" I said, "That security guy put it away." He couldn't even find the glasses again, because the crazy guy put them away. Would he leave me alone??? Nope. He actually said something under his breath and kept following me.. I was so annoyed, that I left the store, because I felt so uncomfortable shopping there. I wrote a letter, letting the management know that he was being stupid. Either he was acting stupid because I was young, or Black. I was not looking "like a thug," I was wearing a ralph lauren sweater and navy pants, with my wallet. This is not the first time I experienced this. I think that American stores should learn from other countries, who do not act so stupid and treat people like criminals.
By the way, I don't have a problem with louis vuitton in general. I went to the store in Paris a week prior and bought a purse. Actually I went a week after this incident, I went to the Louis store in my neighborhood, and received excellent service. The soho lost out on a large commision. I spent $2000. I refuse to buy at stores that treat me horribly.

Titi think about using this one.
You are a cashier at your local grocery store and you have been placed in the 20 items or less counter. A customer comes to your line with approximately 26-32 items and there are other customers in line starting to say gestures and scream at you and your customer with the 32 items, it looks like it may get physical and people may get hurt. What do you do. Tell the customer with the 32 items to go to another register? Hurry up and check that person's items out? Apologize to your other customers in line? Ask your manager for assistance, but what if the customers refuse to hear what the manager has to say because they claim this is their store?

The one that comes to mind was at my (ex) vet's office. I had an appointment for my 2 kittens to have a rabies shot-a 10-15 minute deal. I checked in at the desk and then sat there fo half an hour watching other people come and go! When I finally asked the clerk she said "my" doctor had an emergency and was still tied up. I explained that I didn't request a specific doctor and she asked "Would you like me to get you in to the next one available?" Of course I told her I'd have liked that 30 minutes ago, now we're going home!
As I say, that's my ex-vet.

I went to this restaurant with my mother and small daughter about 5 yrs old. We were eating off the buffet and my daughter had already ate at McDonald's. So we finish our meal and my mother is going to have some soft serve ice cream and asked the waitress for an extra spoon so her gran daughter could share her ice cream. The manager came over and told us that we had to pay for a full buffet if she was going to eat ice cream. Now we had paid for 2 adult buffets and I do not eat sweets but my daughter could not have my dessert. So needless to say I picked up my plate of salad and smeared it in the managers face. The waitress said he was moody because his wife thought he was cheating on her. So I reinforced that by a nice call to his wife from his so called lover. My mom laughed her *** off when I told her what I had done. Do Not ever mess with me or my kids.

I went to a local restaraunt with my parents, and at the end of our meal, she asked us if we wanted to-go drinks. A simple thing, but it went a long way and she was tipped well.
Conversly, I went to another Chilis the other day during my break at work, ordered something really small to save room for dessert, but before I was even done she left my bill on the table. She definately lost out on a larger tip.
No matter what company you work for, upselling is never a bad thing.

I went to a restaraunt once where the waitress kept screwing our orders up and bringing the wrong plates to the wrong tables. So finally after the 4th screw up we reported her to a manager and she came back to our table and told us that maybe we wouldnt have had a problem if we werent so da*mn picky. She then tossed our stuff on the table and said she expected a big tip for the hassle. Needless to say she did not get a tip.

Verizon...they stink. WE have it for our online service and we had issues in the beginning. We called and called andl wrote letters and couldn't get someone to help us at all....finally we had to get the Geek Squad to help. It ended up being a small issue but they actually said that they had no clue as to what the issue was and how to help us.....I mean come on....what the heck!!??
We are stuck with them for a year but after that we will not stay...no way!

I'm a white woman, a very good tipper, and walked into a restaurant with my husband. We never cause trouble, believe me. We had a black waiter, who treated us so rudely. I had to go up to the counter to get my own coffee (3 times) and I was nice about it. I didn't get a certain item with my meal, and asked for it, and never got it, so again went up to the counter to get it. He just would walk right past us, as if we weren't worth his time. He just didn't want to wait on us white folk. I figured he was a racist.

Very bad.
I feel the UK just isn't "customer minded", the clients have to say "can I buy this and make you rich PLEASE?!" it is really annoying.
Asda staff are usually nice, but it really does not rock my world.
