First off Road rage is just another term for being pissed off.
You have to realize with todays kids and adults driving, there isn't as much courtesy anymore. With cell phones and people text messaging while driving, people just think they can turn into a lane because they turned on their turn signal. Untrue thats why they have mirrors in cars, to see if its clear to move into other lanes. Not for putting on makeup. The reason there is turn signals in cars is so you don't lose an arm, while trying to signal a turn. Patience, give the person the sign of the cross, even if you don't believe, take a few deep breaths, and stay away. & yes throwing objects out of car windows is dangerous, and you could kill someone. Use your head next time.

What country are you in ?
In the USA, since 9-11, they have passed very strict laws regarding throwing objects from a vehicle. There was recently a case of a woman sentenced to 2 years for throwing a Slurpee into another vehicle during road rage.
If in the USA, I would hazard a guess you will do time.
If in Canada, a fine is most likely.
Either way, get a lawyer, you're going to need one.
Perhaps an opportunity for some sober second thought on choosing the battles one wants to engage.

we just had an insident here that was resulted from someone waving a gun at someone while driving (didn't use) and there was one hell of a manhunt for him for about a week or so. so what do you think could result from what you did . it is boarder line assult with intent to do harm. besides if anything happened as a result say they crashed you would also be liable for any damage done. the best thing that you should have done was to contact the police from the start and let them handle it. now the question i have is did they actually almost kill you as in make you go off the road or crash or are you using it as a figure of speech, also was there damage done to your car. if not then the blame sad to say is mainly yours and yours alone.
the best thing to do when something like this happens is to pull over and take a few breaths and if need be contact the proper officials, if they need to be called.

Yes, some lady here was arrested for throwing a cup of ice through someone's car window. The police considered it a dangerous object thrown at a vehicle, as the distraction could of caused an accident.

Well the cops are going to talk to you and get your side of the story. You could get charged with assault. But it seems unlikely. If the bottle hit the other guys car you might have to pay to get his car fixed. Anyway, if you DO wind up in front of a judge you might get sentenced to anger management classes.
When people get angry behind the wheel they should seriously consider taking the bus. They are not only a danger to themselves but the other drivers on the road.

Yes you can go to jail, and you should as consequences for your choices.

What can you do? Be responsible. They have the plates, so it will only take them a day or two to find you and charge you. Turn yourself in and face the consequences.

While you are at it, find a good counselor who can work with you on your explosive temper. There are other ways to deal with your frustrations that don't involve anger and/or endangering others. If nothing else, do it before someone close to you becomes your next target.

Dude.... Ok lets out this in perspective.... We live in a society that has enlisted 100k+ young men to fight in 2 wars for almost 10 years now. These men have experience of people pointing guns at them and what to do in these situations. You're a fool for pulling that if you didnt think you were in serious danger. If he ran you off the road call the cops and give them his license number. If he got yours or if any car surrounding saw this, all they have to do is file a report and you might never be able to own a handgun again. On another note, I have enlisted friends who don't look for fights and certainly would never react so short tempered as this guy did, but if they ever had a gun pointed at them they would eliminate the threat as quickly and simply as justified reason. This guy ran back to his car and left, he could have grabbed his gun, crouched and pumped 3 slugs in your head at 50 yards, and in that same motion flipped out his phone to call the cops readily explaining it was simple self-protection. Use your head man

It's considered vehicular assault and you need a lawyer, like the one guy said. And ignore the thing of having your ex gf lie for you--that sets her up for obstructing justice, and a world of hurt for her over your anger management issues.
