Like when a really attractive 16 year old approaches you or passes you buy and are wearing very provacative clothes. Do i just look the other way and ignore them which is what i do, just ignore it, or tell them to something?

First off, (at the risk of lots of thumbs down) you are not a pedophile. 16 is considered a grown woman in some countries. It is very natural for you to stare at a girl wearing very little clothing. And you are not going to actually do anything.
Secondly, these girls dress this way to welcome the stares of men, and sometimes much older men. They do it because of a lack of self-esteem.
Don't encourage them by staring, but if you accidently do, it is no big deal. It is very natural.

from a 17 year old girl, i might appreciate the glance, but i would definitely NOT appreciate an advance. so maybe just look really quick and turn the other way, but man don't say anything or else you'll get some weird looks and a face full of mace

It depends? How old are you? If you are 18 or 42 is a BIG difference

Well, I WAS going to say, there's nothing wrong with looking... But I think too much looking and no "doing" is gonna eventually make you WANT to "do"... And that will get you into a crapload of trouble.

To quote one of my fave songs... "Better run girl, you're much too young girl"

I would ask myself if I think it is becoming a problem. We are all human but you look like a grown man and I would not take a second look at 16 or 17 year old girls. They are not even grown yet.

You can make friends with them if you want and can control yourself;but know and set the limits of where the relationship goes.Remember if people catch ya'll, you're the one that will get thrown in the slammer, not her.

Unless you want to go to jail, you will look the other way. Its disgusting to look at younger girls. I agree wiht you some do dress a little old for their ages, but the cops wont look at that. If you touch, you will be locked away for a while. Get someone your own age.

Just look the other way. I know it can be hard, but that is a can of worms we need to keep a wide berth from.

look away... please... i have an ex-girlfriend who i had to break up with who dresses very provocatively, and disgraces herself by doing that... just think: could this be someone's sister? What if my sister was acting like this, would i want that?

it's so sad that girls do that now... i hate it... i wish girls would care about themselves...
