Sorry to disappoint you, but horses stay away from Bologna.
Bologna sausage is an American version of the Italian mortadella (a finely hashed/ground pork sausage with lard pieces, which originated in the Italian city of Bologna). The American version can alternatively be made out of chicken, turkey, beef, pork, or soybeans. It is commonly called bologna and often pronounced (by hypercorrection) and/or spelled baloney. The "baloney" pronunciation can be used to mean "lies" and/or to express disbelief

I worked in a meat packing place that made bologna for a summer. Bologna is made from the left over parts from cows pigs and chicken grinded together and pressed onto a sheet and then cut.

NO! Horses here in the U.S. are NOT made into bologna, the horses in the U.S. are used for making glue, and thats because they died of natural causes. They do NOT use diseased horses for ANYTHING!! EVEN GLUE! I know this because my son has horses and he knows alot and has learned about horses, since he was about 8 yrs old. Do not worry about your horse if it expires, because it will go to a worthy cause or go where you want it to go. You have to specify where you want it to go. If you dont care, then he/she will be made into glue. I think that this is really cruel, I dont know about horses, but I DO NOT own any. My son has 6 and he is really fond of his horses. I hope this helps you in your feelings!

Buy it from the peg section of the market. Read the label, you'll see that it's made from pork.
