The Bible says that Moses was the greatest man who ever lived, that you can only receive salvation through him, and that Jesus was merely the second incarnation of the jealous spirit of Elijah. So why do Christians simply take Paul's word for it that Jesus was so important?

Whoa!?! Hold on and back up. I'd have to have Book, chapter and verse on this one. I've read Bible and New Testament several times and you'd have to twist something pretty far to come up with that version.
Moses was the greatest man who lived in his day. You can't discount Noah's importance because the planet would be without any inhabitants without him!! There for making him the greatest who lived in his day! Each Prophet was a key element in the time that he lived. But Jesus wasn't a Prophet he was the Redeemer, the Son of God. He held and still holds all the keys to the kingdom. No one could ever be more important than he and the role he played in our salvation!

First of all, the Bible never, ever, ever...ever, ever says that Moses is whom you receive salvation through. John 14:6 says "I [Jesus] am the way and the truth and the light. No one comes to the Father except through Me." I think the passage that confused you was where Moses and Elijah appear before Jesus and two apostles. The apostles then bow down before Elijah, etc, etc - this DOES NOT mean that Jesus was an incarnate of Elijah. Jesus goes on to reprimand the apostles for worshiping Elijah.

Also, it isn't just Paul who talks about Jesus. Look at just about any book in the New Testament, and you'll see plenty of authors who talk about Jesus. Jesus is important because He is the Son of God, the ONLY ONE whom we can get salvation through. Moses too sinned, we can see this in Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". ALL HAVE SINNED. You cannot, do not, and will never be able to get salvation from Moses. Jesus is THE way, THE truth, and THE life. NO ONE comes to the Father, except through Him. Be very careful to get a passage in context - that's where you got confused, I believe.

It doesn't say that you can only receive salvation through him. It says that you can only receive salvation through Jesus the Christ. It does not say that Jesus was merely the second incarnation of spirit of Elijah, but that he was God in the flesh.
Your statements are incorrect.

Maybe in the Koran but not in the Bibles I have read. They (The Christians) don't just take Paul's word. What kind of Beetle Juice are you on? Our Heavenly Father stated, after the baptism of his Son, "This is my Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased."

How do you expect to receive salvation through a morally sinful man? The Spirit of the Lord passed over Mary and she conceived a son whose father was not a mortal man.. His body was flesh of man but his blood was not of Mary. His blood was not that of man and only HIS blood can make the vilest sinner clean. He had to endure all the frailties of man and not sacome to them. He also had to die and be buried and arise. So his body had to be flesh. If it were a spirit body that couldn't die then we would not of had a Redeemer (Savior). If you lose something and what to get it back you have to pay the price of redeamtion. Moses did not follow the steps to redeam us, Jesus did.

I don't know what you read, but it was not the Bible. The Bible, God's Word, says that Jesus is the Son of God and that there is no other name given where we can be saved. Moses was just a person and he is dead now. But God raised Jesus from the dead and He is alive forever more.

Because Jesus was no MURDERER. Can you say the same of Moses? Besides, of all that is written by the hebrews very "little" is recorded by civilizations "of" the region about these peoples, Moses being one of them. Don't know where you get your info from but I get mine from having read "history.."

What bible are you reading? I have not read that one. When it comes to the Holy Bible, Jesus was verified and spoken that He was to come even before He was born. Numerous prophets spoke of Him before, during and after His earthly reign. May God Bless U.
