I'll be taken at the Rapture, I'm saved. Are you?

I guess that depends on how your interpret whats being said and if you believe in a rapture.

If you believe in the rapture this could mean the taken is raptured away and the unsaved person is left.

Or you could refer up to the example in the previous verse that indicates the wicked are taken away. But that would be a non rapture theory wouldn't it. Because the righteous are left behind. If you look forward to verse 48-51 the wicked servant is cut off or "taken away" and punished with the hypocrites.

It is your responsibility to study the word and see if what your teachers tell you is true. Though I would like to believe the saints will be raptured away before the tribulation I'm certainly not going to put my hope in it because the evidence is not clear. Be careful not to establish doctrine on shakey passages.

Understand that the "rapture" is a very recent interpretation of these scriptures and certainly was not the doctrine of the early church.

This is not to say it's not true. God can chose when to revel or give a "revelation" to his saints just don't put all your chips on the table on that particular doctrine.

Matthew 24:40-41 means exactly want it says. It talks about the end times when Christ returns. It talks about two people that seems to be the same; however, one has waited for Christ Jesus return and is taken. The other is no.

One last point, you need more verses to understand the full meaning. Also the Greek word for taken is "is-being-taken-along"and for left is "is-being-left".

The question is Will the one taken be taken to hell and the one left is the one he saves? I love how people immediately take this to mean the rapture. The Rapture was never mentioned in the Bible. It was invented in the 1800's as a scare tactic to get people into church.

I have no idea if God will accept me. I pray he does but it will be his choice and his alone. I have no Idea who Grace was but she really must have been an amazing person.

Have you given any real thought what it means to be the one left...or taken?

Those passages make reference to it being "as in the time of Noah and the flood"

When you read the flood passages it follows the logic of Noah and his family being the ones "Left" alive while all the sinful people were "Taken"... as in "killed".

You may have your ideas of "Taken" and "Left" backwards.

And please remember too... this Fundamentalist Pre-Tribulation Rapture stuff was only invented about 1830 by John Darby. Before he came along the Christian Church never taught this.

I'm an awful sinner.

I do terrible things every day of my life, I sin terribly.

I eat myself up with remorse.

God knows my heart...and my remorse.

I'm going. I'm saved and I'd like to take some people with me...

Faith of a mustard seed...

Let's all go!!

:)

P.S. LAWL....

I know you'll hate me for this and probably blast me out of Yahoo for it but....

(please read some of my other stuff from tonight before you judge me, please??)

You can come too, if you want...all you have to do is believe. Faith. It's easier than it seems, especially with people who don't beat you over the head with it. :) *hugs*

Wow, what a clever way to disguise your religious rantings. Must have taken you at least an hour to come up with that, eh?

It is my desire to be caught up to meet Him in the air. I strive to live my life in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. Heaven is my goal!
