NOPE..You have to get that title in your name before you can sell it. IF you paid the sales tax to the dealer, they should have given you a receipt for the taxes paid, and all you have to do is get the title in your name. If they did not collect sales tax, they you will have to pay it when you title the car in your name. Even if the state you are in has multiple spaces on the back of the title for future purchasers, that is only good for dealers. In most states, if not all, you can just get a title only and not have to register the vehicle. So you may not be responsible for registration fees, and local taxes etc., just your states sales tax. Just take what the dealership gave you, and the title to your local DMV and get the title in your name. Then you can sell it.

you must fill in the back of the title as if you were registering it for your self, because the dealer has all ready reported to the dmv who they have sold it to , you have to show a chain of ownership.( some states have additional lines to sell it to the next person) if not make a bill of sale this is a chain of ownership. then that person can take it to the dmv to have it changed over into there name. in most states if the car is less then 10 years old you must complete an odometer statement to go along with the bill of sale. go on line to the dmv of your state. they list all the documents you will need to complete the sale. and in most cases you can down load them from their web site. always keep a copy of all documents for your self and make sure to do a release of reliability.

NO. The title has to go to the state DMV and be put into your name. You can't use the same one that they gave you (the one you signed on the back). The state will send you a new one with your name printed on the front and all the spaces blank on the back.

Yeah, the title will always stay with the car. Just make sure you get the money before you sign the title over. Also make sure that the vehicle is transferred out of your name.
