Ok. This guy's answer to my prom invite was "It's not a no, but it's a no only because I have date" Then he avoided me 3 weeks before prom started. At prom, he always seem to "be" by me. Like plenty of empty tables around me and my friend's table, yet he decided to stay 3 ft. away by the wall. Him and his date left prom when my and my friend did. He showed up at iHop alone. Then about 2 weeks after prom, he was STILL avoiding me. I didn't get this because first semester (before this trivial prom problem) I KNOW he liked me. So I stopped him one day and askd if he took my invite the wrong way and if that was his reason for avoiding me. He acted like he didn't know what I was talking about at first, but after I called his bluff he said that he thought I was mad at him and that he felt bad for turning me down. Do you think he really felt bad? My guy friends say I should believe him because guys who aren't interested will just blow a girl off with things like this.

Prom seems to inspire a lot of drama. I had big prom drama. Fell for someone hard a week before prom, but didn't have the money (or the strength of character, it would seem in hindsight) to buy out my then-boyfriend's ticket. So I went to prom with soon-to-be-ex, only to be saved a seat at dinner by my new flame's twin brother. My every move was reported to new guy, who was home alone brooding, I was pronounced a "ho", and it took a week of crying, pleading and apologizing to get him to take me back. Of course, I broke up with the prom-BF shortly thereafter (don't feel too bad for him, he was really arrogant, and insulted that he hadn't been the one to break up with me).

New BF and I then had a fantastic 4 months, I went to college, and we sadly broke up at New Year's, but he will always be my first love.

Proms inspire drama. Hang in there.

Sweetness! He is out for a new gift, and you are it!
Share your treasure for someone else!
YOU deserve THE Best!
God, that must been so hard to see him at the prom, all alone, and lonely, and, ummmm,.........
NO WAY SUGAR! YOU ARE THE BEST!
I would say, Ba-Bye!

He's just being nice, but I don't think he really likes you like a girlfriend. Have you considered letting men take the lead in relationships? Men don't really seem to appreciate women who do all the chasing. So you THINK they like you, that is no excuse to start chasing them. It just makes them run the other way.

He's full of something.
If he cared in any way he should of been honest from the start.
