What is God trying to do by burning you eternally? "Punishing our sins" isn't good enough because how will you know which sin you committed (according to the Bible we are all born sinful...so i guess babies that die in third world countries instantly go to hell).
Secondly, what's to gain from making people believe in Christianity? If the universe is endless, I'm sure you have room to fit 6 billion people it.
Note: I hope you guys don't engage in a secular vs. Christianity battle by giving thumbs down with everyone you don't agree with.

Some of you mentioned the "age of accountability". What age is that?

Hell as called in the bible is a "furnace" so I assume things burn in a furnace.

Also, since people are imperfect and never will be sinless because sometimes you lie even if its a white lie or you do something that doesn't favor God's eyes at least once in your life because Jesus is the only perfect person/god. <-- According to Bible
So then, how do we have a choice then?

Revision of the last details i posted:
Also, people are imperfect and never will be sinless because sometimes you lie and even if its a white lie, it is still a lie. People will never be sinless because Jesus is the only perfect person / god.

The hell myth, in my opinion, is explicitly designed to scare you out of considering that god doesn't exist.
"Note: I hope you guys don't engage in a secular vs. Christianity battle by giving thumbs down with everyone you don't agree with."
- Yeah, I wish. You could say something beautiful and intelligent, but if you end it with "I'm an Atheist" or "I'm a Christian" you are automatically getting at least a couple thumbs down.

To begin with, God doesn't punish the innocent. Those who do not know the difference between right and wrong, such as babies, children, those who are mentally handicapped and have never had the capacity to make those kind of choices...those souls are accepted into Heaven without a glance.
As far as God's punishment, although each sin is equal in God's eyes, we are given the freedom to choose whether we want to purposely sin or to try to be Christlike. So, with that in mind, knowing that God is our judge, we can choose to do the right thing, or we can choose to go to Hell and be separated from Him forever. You see, that is the true punishment of Hell. It is a place of darkness and grief because God isn't there.

First off Christianity is a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ God Almighty.Secondly only you can lead yourself on the path away from God. God gives you a choice the path to Him or the path away from Him, you pick, you decide. All children before the age of accountability go to heaven, not hell.

First of all...I don't think you will "burn eternally" in Hell. I beleive that Hell is simply eternal seperation from God. Because non-believers reject God's offer of a place with him in heaven they are not allowed in, simply put. They spend eternity knowing what they could have had and understanding the truth of God's offer - but with the knowledge that they rejected him. As for Children - God gave all of us free will to chose whether or not to accept his gift. Children do not have the capacity to chose for themselves until they reach maturity. I don't think there's a magical age that that happens - God knows each of our hearts and knows when we have decided for or against Him. The Bible makes it VERY clear that God loves little children and will punish those that hurt them or even mislead them.

hell is to give you fear of sin (like a parent telling their child that if they don't cease the bad bahavior, there will be punishment. The parent loves the child and is doing what is best) God loves you and knows that sin is bad for you.
and you are wrong about babies. and there have been far more than 6 billion people who have come and gone since the beginning of time.

First of all the Bible does not teach that hell is a place of eternal torment. Hell (sheol Hebrew, Hades Greek) is simply the common Grave of mankind. The Bible teaches That " The dead are conscious of nothing at all" Eccl. 9:5. Rom. 6:7 says: “He who has died has been acquitted from his sin.”. Further Romans 6:23 says that "The wages sin pays is Death"...........Not eternal Torment but death!!!!!!!!!!! The teaching that hell is a place of torment has its roots in the pagan religions of ancient Babylon

Hell is death, not eternal fire. Thats what I think the bible teaches. Over and over it says death is the result of sin. No one has the right to say who is or who isnt going to receive eternal life. God will do that. We only know the bible tells us how to make sure we get to go. We don't get paid to judge

Wrong-o .The reason for Hell is destuction of Satan and his angels and for people who REFUSE the grace of God through what Jesus did on the cross. All sin can be forgiven except that one. There is not one baby in Hell. All go straight to the throne room of God ,Jesus said so.

Hell: was made for satan and his fallen angels and followers.
Baby: no matter were they are born are not at age of accountability
Born in Sin: reborn to new life, free choice take or reject
Room on earth: would you like to spend eternity with Hitler, or like? and wouldn't it be nice to live were you don't have to worry about crime, rape, murder etc.
hey have a great night! :-)
