had spark plugs changed,pcv valve,cap,rotor,fuelfilter,timing,and diagnostic showed every thing was ok.it sounds like air leak or something sucking air in.

Check the gap on the plugs it has been know to close the gap on plugs when trying to put them in . Also there might be a hole that has been crossed threaded which is not good but don't worry you can get it re threaded. cant remember the exact word put it can be done. check both ends of pcv valve hose might have hole in it just have to check on thing at a time starting with the easiest first.

check the gas mileage for the next three weeks and see if you spent your $$'s in the right direction ....... if you are getting better miles per gallon then good deal if you are not happy with the results then you need to find a new mechanic and diagonastic center ... the sucking sound is the fact that the motor is doing the proper job of intake of air and output of power.
