Running only exercises your legs and kind of your arms. You need to work your abs if you want to get rid of excess fat in the belly/back area. Crunches are good, but be sure to do them correctly, pushing your lower back into the floor. Also, leg lifts work wonders, but are painful! Crunches will work the the upper abs; leg lifts will work the obliques. If you also want to work on getting rid of love handles, try holding weights in both, tensing up your whole body, and moving your upper body left to right, bending from the waist. Do this for a couple minutes every day- you'll feel it! Hope this helps! Just remember not to try anything crazy diet-wise! Sounds like you already eat pretty healthy! Concentrate on working the muscles!

Well It depends When and how often you eat this "Not the best diet" food. If you do it after a run there is no use in the run unless you eat healthy. I heard that Swimming isn't really good exercise because if will cool you off and make you hungry. If you run and start to sweat or do something to make you sweat it will dull the taste-buds and you will lose the appetite. Just eat healthy remain the running. And It should help. Good luck.
(best answer please if it helps.)

since we cant choose which body parts to lose the weight off - it has to be overall weight loss.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Well crunches are better than situps...leg lifts are better but somewhat challenging...i prefer a workout that is similar to a push-up position but instead of having ur hands on the ground it would be ur forearm (ur hands to your elbow) and your feet straight, keep ur back straight. it seems to work well for your back AND abs. The previous excercise is known as a plank if you'd like to look it up online.
