Exercise is great for all of us. If you feel like you need to lose a little weight try water aerobics. They are fun and really work. There is a low drop out rate. People of all sizes and ages participate. Also, it's great for your cardiovascular system. Exercise creates energy, brain power, and a positive mental attitude. Don't try to lose weight. If you exercise you will look better and feel better. Build a little muscle, muscle metabolizes fat even at rest. It doesn't matter what you weigh, but it does matter if your healthy and happy.

if you are male, just do some exercises to tone your body up as you are tall enough to pull the weight deal
if you are a female maybe about 20 pounds at the most and tone up you muscles to look leaner
at that height there isn't too much extra weight to be very worried about

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

A good weight for you would be 150, but depending on your actual bone structure, it could even be 160 or something. What may be overweight on one person who's 5'9'' could be underweight for someone who's 5'9'', all due to how you're built. Check with your doctor.

Before doing that maybe you should go to a medical professional and find out the answer. Every body is diffent. One weight might be good for one but another may feel terrible.
