continue to move on—
Smashing and managing
the sufferings
that come forth as obstacles—
and be crowned with success.’

Prof. Damodar Thakur wrote 6— “In Sri Sri Thakur’s utterances, the word ‘Ideal’ does not mean an idea or a set of ideas. However inspiring, lofty or sublime an idea or a set of ideas may be, it is not an Ideal as conceptualized by Sri Sri Thakur and spelt with an initial capital letter. An Ideal in this sense is a Krishna, a Christ, a Buddha or the like who embodies the wisdom of all past prophets. He is a person who inspires the hope, strengthens the perseverance, energizes the will-power and invigorates the inner strength of millions of people around him and creates and develops in them a positive and proactive outlook towards life.
In Sri Sri Thakur’s vision of life an ‘Ideal’ ought to be understood as someone ‘who infuses the thrill of animation, extension and augmentation’ and proves to be ‘The way of sufferers to life and light’.”

How does one "smash" a suffering? The best one can do is bear it with grace or see beyond it and let it fall away. As for being "crowned with success," uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. It is dangerous to sit upon a throne, believing oneself to have achieved the Ideal. It is always a becoming, rather than a peak of attainment or personal goal. Once one deigns to crown oneself with the success of being Christlike, one ceases to be so. Becoming sounds right...being is always becoming.

P.S. This also ties into the Buddhist admonition to kill the Buddha if you see him on the road before you. It is a warning against too much ego and the preconceptions that are built around it.

Surrendering to an ideal of domination and control is not surrender but rather struggle. Surrender of struggle, acceptance, tollerance, nonattachment is very often seen as the path of success in a spiritual practice. "Smashing", "managing" and overcoming obstacles is thinly disguised ego drama.

Very good ideas there. Let me just remind you that YA is not a soapbox for ventilating your ideas or beliefs. I am not going to report you because you mean well, but some people might. So hope no one sees your question.
Peace and every blessing!
