Did you hear about the one that claims the hearse in front of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion used to carry Brigham Young's body from his funeral to his burial place?
Or what about this one - we wear shirts made out of hair to make us uncomfortable....
Like all large organizations, the church collects many such ridiculous rumors. Instead of letting it bother me, I simply correct people if I hear them promoting the rumor, give them a source, and move on. Anyone that actually believes such rumors obviously is an easily swayed individual.

As you said, those are only rumors. People always are faking and making up things just to bother and put others down. The one that said this rumor is probably the same kind of person that makes nasty rumors about Britney Spears and other celebs.
I don't know why but many people doesn't like Mormons and say terrible things about the religion; just because they don't understand our beliefs they keep criticizing and saying bad things about us without knowing what they are talking about.

I heard many years ago about Pepsi but I never heard about a tobacco company. I really didn't care whether they did or not.

This one is not rumor:
"E. Parry Thomas (born June 29, 1921 in Ogden, Utah) is a now-retired banker who helped finance the development of the casino industry of Las Vegas. Along with his business partner, Jerry Mack, Parry Thomas is credited with building Las Vegas into what it is today."
I'm not sure exactly what the tie-in is for the prohibition of gaming for mormons, but Thomas got it moving..
Parry Thomas is the father of my former bishop. We owe a great debt of honor for this fine man's contribution to "Sin City"

Was it Pepsi? The rumor here was Coke. The story is repeated because it is yet another inconsistency of the church!

The Mormon church itself does not own any company. It may be that some members of the church, not the church itself, own companies such as this.

Does the LDS church fully disclose how tithing money used? I know to a penny where my church's tithing goes. I can have this information whenever I want it. How come Mormons can't have that information? It makes you think they have something to hide.

Research it on the web.. the LDS church owns large portions of stock in a cola company and in two casinos in Las Vegas... I'll come back with a link for you.
To be fair, I believe the stock was left to the church, not that the church sought to acquire it. One is the casino that Gladys Knight (who is LDS) headlines at.
Here's on link with a few articles that is an lds sponsored site...

There are so many rumors, this one is pretty lame. I am LDS and I drink Pepsi, I probably should not since we beleive in taking care of our bodies and Pepsi is not healthy (sugar, high-fructose corn syrup ect) Some LDS choose not to drink Pepsi while others do. Many familes in my ward drink Pepsi and many do not.
