ONLY the first one is correct, except for the accent in "dia."
It should be día, not dìa.

El día de la independencia.

Spanish speakers in California refer to the US holiday as "El cuatro de julio" (4th of July), just like we do! They use "El día de la independencia" to describe the historical date (for any country).
